    M TOY M3

Heh thanks bud! Apart from the regular wash/detail last weekend & dry-off run, M TOY hasn't been getting much love recently! The lip is a fibreglass jobby - more to protect the bumper from stonechips on the road. Does a bloody good job at it, too – sits quite low at the front so covers a fair percentage of the lower portion of the bumper cover. Only real update is that Team Mac replaced the RTAB’s - it never felt 100% planted at the rear when changing lanes under load; definitely recommend doing this if you’re experiencing the same! Made a world of difference. Seth and the team at Car Folie did a great job on the tints and roof wrap, however the tint not completely sticking to the dot matrix on the rear window has been bugging me ever since. Thought I’d get over it, but I’m a little OCD. I’m not keen to take a chance at re-doing the whole rear screen, and really like the tint film Seth’s put on there – so I’ve been doing a fair amount of research and think I have found a solution. Watch this space for results! Rear screen (sorry for the dark picture, nighttime in the garage with bright fluro lights): I've been saving like mad this year, so hope to have a little to spend on M TOY in the 2nd half of the year. The wish list has been modified slightly (as always!): Genuine CSL wheels with Michelin PS3 or PSS – now that it’s officially a weekender, I can retire the daily wheels and tyres and justify spending a little more on good stuff. I do not want to make this into a 'wanna-be CSL', but I just love the shape of the CSL style 163's. Still thinking about this one. Recover touch surfaces – as before, there’s a small nick on the steering wheel trim that’s been bugging me, and the coloured stitching is looking a bit dull. Instead of a recover, the best bet is probably to get a new wheel from BMW. Here’s a generic sunset photo I took outside work a couple of weeks ago – shows off the brown tint in the colour a bit:

I have one on mine, it's not quiet.

    e46 M3 + Cliff

Albeit I lol'd, I can't help but see just how fast this could happen. This guy is lucky- good to see how fast that curtain airbag deployed.
  4. Used my rear fog light this morning for the second time in a year. I concur with everyone else - if it is not foggy, rear foglights are more than a little annoying. Nobody has raised it yet, but I thought 'fog' lights were yellow and a broad, lower wattage beam, and 'driving lights' were white and a limited-height narrow beam? I use my front driving lights in that late-arvo dusk period where it's a bit bright to justify Xenons but dim enough for some turnip to not see my park lights.
  5. Because drug dealers are known for their love of animals.I spied this in Japan a month ago - lots of these Mira-with-bodykit type machines around there.
  6. I would forever be in your debt.
  7. ^^ Awesome, need the alcantara boot too! Noticed the orange indicator, really stands out against the blue. I'd thought about it on grey, but the contrast didn't look that great imo. Much better suited to blue! On the GK - let's chat this w/e

    Vintage rentals

Morning, There are a couple of classic rental agencies I know of in Wellington, but no vintage rentals (at least that I can find!). Your best bet would be to look for a wedding car rental agency, as they generally specialise in classics. Like these guys in Eastbourne. In saying that, you'd be hard-pressed to find a 507 - I'm not sure there's even any in NZ. Hope you have a great time in NZ!
  9. You forgot repco brake pedals, seatbelt pads and blue LEDs plugged into the ciggi lighter. And while you're at it why not go for a fluffy steering wheel cover and beaded seat inserts? Job done.
  10. 20,000kms? Has to be one of (if not the) lowest km examples around. Simply stunning machine Ray. Don't ever sell it (unless it is to me ).
  11. Was it a black one? If so, there's one in particular I spy around AKL cbd a bit. It's on a heap of K's, dinged up and it looked like the rings needed doing last time I saw it. That was about 3 months ago however, so he may have sorted it out... who knows. Future collectible - yes. But probably not that one. Sorry if you're on here, just calling it how I see it. On the other hand, there's a nice looking yellow one I've spied around the shore a bit.
  12. Ah, sh*t. Bit of a job you have there. NB what tyres are those mate? The tread pattern looks interesting!
  13. Hi mate, looks absolutely stunning in that colour - great purchase! I'm keen on more info on the 330d euro shifter; i.e. where to get one!! I've installed an M5 gearknob, as I wanted to keep the light but didn't like the leather wear on the original M3 one. This doesn't change the throw length however:

    Beautiful .....!!!!!!
  16. Just spied this - Congratulations mate that's an awesome looking machine! Love the colour! There's a place in Onehunga that's selling a Hamann-style front lip (FG) for $500 - they've had it advertised for ages and it's bloody expensive, so I'd be surprised if they wouldn't move a bit on it. Here it is. Also if you are in the market for a Supersprint and want to compare it against standard, just give me a call.
  17. Haha I was going to post the same...1.) E46 M3 CSL 2.) E34 M5 3.) E36/8 Z3 M Coupe
  18. Haha yep - sad thing is he's not alone there... and it's not just NZH! The ceffy cutty crew seem well into it. Can't help but giggle seeing these flat-peaked bonces just poking above the sill. Gangstah.

    The OB 46

Looks great! Euro clear corners, tails & sidelights would look nice imo. Not altezza ones, I mean OEM facelift style clears. Like this: $395 on trademe for the kit.
  20. I, too, was intrigued by this 'trend'. So much that I did a bit of research. The best reasons I found: 1.) yo, mang I's layin low sos the haters that be hatin don't be poppin a cap in mys azz. 2.) when I'm leanin' I be ridin dirty to's my bigazz bumpin systems yo.. I needz the full effects yo. DWR (Driving While Reclined)

    Kyu's E46 :)

Looks great, real black theme going on there. Wheels looks awesome! You could look at some BMW centre caps to provide a bit of contrast - but entirely up to you what style you're after. See the following one for what I mean about centre caps:
