  1. Bugger. Pull it out, put it back and make sure it's seated properly. If it still wont start get in touch with DUDMD. I'm sure he'll be happy to help. I was looking forward to hearing how much you were enjoying it..
  2. Welcome to the forum and the Bimmer bug. Theres no looking back now..lol
  3. I felt the difference immediately in my big ole e38 so I think you'll be plesantly supprised in your's.
  4. Love the color and the wheels. Super nice E30 you've got.
  5. No, it's just a pic I got off google.. Seems theres quite a few 540i's that people have re-badged as 544's. I'll give the guy a call on Monday and see if he'll give me the vin and/or schnitzer serial number. The cars an hours drive from me. I was driving home from a trip away and stopped at a shop for something to eat and that's when I spotted it. He reckoned it cost him $125,000 new. Lived on a farm so didn't drive it much cause of the dirt roads then when he retired and moved into town it just got parked.
  6. So how do you go about verifying if it's a genuine Schnitzer or not? Its got a 544 badge on the boot but after a bit more online searching I think that some people think that car was named wrong..lol
  7. Ask me about the E38 and I'm reasonably knowledgeable. Bit out of my depth with the E39 though. So I've come across a 1996 e39 544 ac Schnitzer. Green with a tan interior(not my favourite colour combo).Interior is mint. Clear coat is going on side mirrors and most sharp edges on the body. No rust. Now, here's the good bit. It's a genuine 1 owner with 37,000k on it. I've never heard of a 544 before. Is it a rare find? So where would the value be on this? Is it a 10k car? I know there's a ton of E39 guys out there.. Feel free to chime in and give your opinion on whether or not I should be looking a bit more seriously at this. Cheers
  8. No engines? How about if it's still got the running gear, wheels, and all body panels attached? I'd luv to get this back to NZ.. http://www.adverts.ie/car/bmw/7-series/bmw-750i-e38-v12-7-series-for-sale/5392351
  9. Welcome. I'm looking froward to watching the progress on this. Just out of curiosity. What is the cost of re-vinning these days?
  10. Awesome.. ha ha.. Those look like a bit of fun.
  11. I thought that was what the "Showroom" was for?
  12. Bet you feel good about getting it done. And you'll feel even better shifting through the gears.. Nice one.
  13. Should be a nice weekend.. Perfect for you to just bite the bullet and crack into it. You'll love it all the more when your driving it if you've done the hard yards yourself..
  14. Awesome Andy. What a cool project. Looking forward to watching this progress.
  15. Nice find. Thats a gorgeous colour too.
  16. Sweet car though I agree with Jeff.. Those white wheels need a change of color.
  17. Post up some pics when you get the front lowered. This seems very reminiscent of another post recently.
  18. Whooarrrr http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XunY7hZWvuI
  19. Nice looking wagon. Welcome back to the forum.
  20. Mmmmmm, the holy grail for 7 series fans.. The Goldfish.
  21. Given the choice between a V8 and anything else I'm gonna pick the V8 every time.. Till a V12 come's along of course..lol So between the 530 or 540 I'd definatly go for the 540. If you dont get the V8 now you'll only wish you had later on.
  22. Sweet. That would surely look good in my garage.
  23. My apologies pldubs. The lol at the end of my comment was supposed to imply I was joking with you as I was very aware your comment re cutting springs was a joke. No offence was intended.
  24. 7 months since your last update. Anymore progress on this? Awesome project by the way..
