4.2 is pretty cheap, would go with a 6 over 4 cylinder any day.

Brain fart still interested in what's being used to run it

    E34 TURBO

Still trying to get my head around the torque, that's insane, I assume I'll be able to find more info in other threads on the engine management/ turbo it's running? So much respect!
  5. Bought a set in that size off eBay, aluminium too. Was an Australian company and cost me $30 or so including shipping.
  6. What condition is the car in, wof reg etc? I can get a hold of a set of BBS in that pattern. Pm me

    Quick rant thread.

How petrol pumps slow their filling cycle even on non prepay. When people tell you not to use your cell on the forecourt. People who ride their clutch at the lights.
  9. Flying along Scenic Drive out to Piha on a Thursday night and not seeing anyone on the road.
  10. Currently running a 225-45 on a 17x9 ET24 out back, I know all about rubbing under load
  11. What are peoples thoughts on price for a set of these? 17x8.5 ET13 x4 Not much curbing, pretty good condition. Not sure if they suit the E36? (not a huge fan of "stance" but I do like wider wheels)
  12. I've a getrag (sorry unsure on model) bolted to mine and it's taken a beating, track it from time to time and no problems. I guess (don't know for sure) that if you tried to push high hp/torque it'd be more of a concern. The driveshaft is different between ZF and Getrag boxes. Apparently the 220 refers to being capable of "transfering 220 N·m nominal torque on the input shaft".
  13. Pm'd. Dibs on Brake Booster and Master Cylinder. Edit; won't work with my application/ what I already have would work better.
  14. I took some spacers to Arrow wheels last week and they machined the CB out. Weren't pricy
  15. Browse the US BMW forums, I've read that there's a certain v8 that runs injectors that are a direct match. They were popular with turbo swaps on the US S50.

  17. Pls stahp. For the record if we're playing tit for tat, your qualm with my original use of the word was "Lathing is not a word" it is though. My humblest apologies for using a word that meant what I was meaning to mean. Inztec 19 The Concourse. Thanks again for the referral.
  18. Verblathing Present participle of lathe. Thanks I'll give him a call or pop in next week
  19. So I bought a set of spacers today, and found that nearly everything about them bar the stud pattern is wrong for my car. I've an E36 and the CB of the wheel spacer is 73.1mm. Nobody I've found online stocks hubcentric rings in a 73-72.5mm sizing, and rightly so. Now my main question is who do you recommend I take the spacers to for lathing? I want to take the ID from 73.1mm - 74mm (E39 hub size) Is there anyone out there with a lathe that will take pity on me for a couple of boxes / a bottle of your chosen poison?
  20. 3pedals you must be new here Gjm I've found another sauce that has the type 2 in 17x8.5 fitment weighing 9.9kg, found here Soo many conflicting numbers, just buy them and weigh them for a solid answer
  21. Thanks! I wasn't sure if they'd reply to something as mundane as second hand, discontinued wheel weights. But if it worked for you I hope it'll work for me
  22. The only information I've found on them came from another forum stating that they weighed 10.4kg. I wouldn't trust this but is sounds about right. The wheel you posted is a type 2 shape. Personally I've been looking for the weight of BBS DTM RG218 shape, best I've found is some Russian and Japanese sauces claiming 8.4kg I hate looking for stuff on wheels made in the 90's, next to nothing online about them that isn't hearsay. Maybe have the mods move this to Wheels & Tyres?
  23. From Pm to him I got: The spacers are $80 a pair. The longer wheel bolts are $45 for 10. Freight is usually around $15. Regards Geoff
