  1. I have noticed recently how many cyclists ride on Ti Irangi Drive. There is no cycle lane on this road. It is a dual lane highway with a speed limit of 80KPH. To pass even a single cyclist on this road you need to move into the other lane. Getting along at 40KPH in a 80KPH zone is suicide in my opinion. This also happens on the Pakuranga Highway. One of the busiest roads in NZ which has narrow lanes and a 60kph speed limit and a crap ton of traffic lights. Traveling at a much lower speed than the surrounding vehicles is being reckless.
  2. Sorry for you loss mate. But I am with Andrew on this. I would never ride a bike on NZ's roads. I don't trust the people around me when driving a car let alone riding a bike completely unprotected. As sad is this sounds. My Dad has always called Cyclists and Motorcyclists 'Temporary Citizens'. And in a way he is right. Just look at the people who's hands you are placing your life in.
  3. Straight up. I would drive it home myself. Have done in the past. Also been pulled over doing so. Told the cop the truth and what I was doing and he had no problem with it. Though if you want you can borrow my trailer. It is at my house at the moment. But will be going back to its home on Friday night.
  4. So $1107 inc gst. Unless you have the sender state the items contained are $400NZD or less combined. Very little chance of that happening. BTW. If the sender does modify the invoice to state you paid no more than $400NZD. You will only be insured for that amount if there is any damage or if it goes missing. It is best to plan for the worst.
  5. Skids. Maybe 10 years ago. Or when being influenced by drunken BMW racers.
  6. Happy Birthday mate. Try not to hold me up at Hampton
  7. Two guys from Manchester travel all the way over to the Nürburgring in Germany in a BMW 325 only to spin out in only 7 seconds!
  8. meh.. shoddy and doesn't interest me.
  9. Paul Olsen at Interpart will be able to help if he supplies them. Interpart 04-566-6391 If not he may be able to point you in the right direction down that way.
  10. Hey guys sorry I have been flat out at work. Sascha sorry for not getting back to you. I will ring you tomorrow and might be able to drop some up to you as I am on the shore at the moment. I missed a few calls this arvo. I will make sure my phone is on me. Have sent a few boxes to Chch for other people already so it is no problem. Cheers Dan
  11. For a car this heavy to be able to pull flat 12's in a 1/4 mile. Tourqe.
  12. Nice. My Dad has the next shape up. He absolutly loves it. The supercharger is just insane. Dragging off sh*t heap holdens when your towing the race car is great fun.

Happy Bday man. See you in a week.
  14. The schnitzer M6 is back on TM. There was a bit of info about it on here a while back. I had a quick search but all the auctions listed did not show the car any longer. Was this the one that is not a genuine schnitzer and has M-Tech front and rear? Also brought in from Japan? Possibly down on power? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-326665724.htm
  15. Did you say you were located in Bucklands Beach Jack? If so let me know if you ever need a hand. I also have a crapton of spares I have collected. There is a parts E30 in my garage which is almost complete too. Can also sus you out with pads/rotors/brake fluid/Elf engine oil etc. Will cut some of your costs down. I wish I had done what you are doing at your age. So I don't mind helping.
  16. Made in the USA. Memphis, TN. Master Corporation As for prices to Chch and out of Auckland. I can send a box for $15. I can also send two boxes strapped together for $15. Individual is going to be a real pain sorry. Unless I can get someone to split a box for you down in Chch or where ever else. Sold around 100 already. Please send me a PM, text or call me on 0211 88 77 33
  17. Will have a chat to a mate of mine Jack. This might be what he is after. But don't hold your breath. Will ask around work and some of my customers and see if they have any work for you. But the automotive industry is really suffering at the moment.
  18. Ahhh pickapart. What you save in money you waste in time and the unknown condition of the parts you pull off. Occasionaly you get lucky and find a real score. Use to go there and pull out the R200 diffs out of everything. Paid $45 for them. Sold them for $250.
  19. Pick up from Bucklands Beach.
  20. Cool will update with shipping out of Auckland on Monday. Brake Cleaner will strip off oil and grease pretty quick. It is great for cleaning parts. You don't need to hose it off like degreaser. It evaporates. It is best to wear gloves when handling soaked parts as it is not good for your skin. I have cleaned encrusted filthy gearboxes and diffs from E30's with little effort using this stuff. Will strip all oils very quick. Leaves them Dry.
  21. There is 12 in a box. As many boxes as you like. No store down the line sorry. But I can organise shipping. Not sure on prices just yet. Would have to confirm on Monday. I will go past work in the morn and grab a few boxes just in case some of you want some over the weekend. BTW. These have quite a bit of pressure. So is good for the hard to reach places.
  22. Have done a deal with the company I work for to sell on all the brake cleaner. We just need it gone so I sussed a decent price for you guys. Brake cleaner is the most effective parts cleaner. Is wicked for taking of old grease and other caked on crap. Selling it for as cheap as possible. $4.50 a can 510g can. CRC engine clean is around $12 a can and does the same job. Can have as many cans as you like. Post here or PM me. I have put it on some other forums too. Is plenty avalible and is pretty cheap. Let me know if you want any. Dan

    Lexus IS200

Unless you are buying the IS200 from a Lexus dealer with the Lexus warranty. Get a Toyota Altezza. The only reason you would buy a Lexus variant of a Toyota model is for the service and warranty Lexus supply.
  24. Yip do not bother with a BMW drift car unless you have lots of money or wish to transplant in a better or Jap motor. Your only cheap option for diffs is to weld up an open diff as the LSD's are very expensive. They are also snappy little cars when biffing them around. As you said. Get yourself a lazy old Nissan. Cefiro, Laurel. Though about 10X the price they were 10 years ago they are plentiful and easy to drive.
  25. I can't stand the two younger muppets from 5th Gear. They are very annoying.
