Im sure if you talked to Boatminders who are based in East Tamaki they could do you a deal. They also refurbish boats. I did work there but it has changed hands since then and don't know the new owner.

Had my series 3 RX7 pile of crap backfire in the middle of London central about 2 weeks after the bombs in 05. Quite a few ducks for cover. I had the firing order mixed up. Lots of angry faces.

I would also be wondering why the car backfired like that in the first place. Never had an E30 do that. Sure someone had put something in the muffler?

Where is the money spent? Was it spent on parts that are sort after and you can good money for? Or was it spent on the running of the car and repairs to standard parts. Do you have the room and time to part out an E39? They are a lot of work to pull down.

Yeah you use the same rod. I spose you could get a new tip from BMW new. Wouldn't be much. Just give the rod a good polish and put a little lube on it. < Haha that sounds dodgey.

Is there a quick way to tell if it is a real Boss or not? There is a burnt orange colored one that looks identical to the one in the picture in the Wairau Valley. Was parked at that American car parts place on Wairau Road. Didn't have black wheels. But same lights and stripes. Had a dealers plate and was left hook. Might be getting converted there?

Sorry I have been to 4 or 5 Playdays and I am not trying to put them down. Just don't think they suite our driver base. All the playdays I went to were at Hampton which could be the reason I thought they were expensive. Hampton is just exepensive no matter what. With the SNZ days we know most of the drivers and split them skill/speed etc. Most of the drivers know each other well also. So less guess work on the track. Last year the BMW and SNZ days were back to back at Taupo. Enjoyed both days. Makes sense to combine them.

This is a private day run by TarrBaby (Andrew) btw. No interest in Playdays at all. It is too diverse in both car type and driver skill. Attracts far too many beginners and track time is too limited. The SNZ/Bimmersport day will also have a much better social envirionment. And is also not for profit therefore being cheaper.

The E55 is Supercharged. Unlike the CLK. Have had no electrical issues with my Fathers one. Though his is a NZ new one not a shoddy cheap Jap import with no service history similar to the ones flooding the market. Had one recall for the cats to be replaced. AMG service bills through Coutts are are bit crazy though.

The W211 E55 AMG is faster than both of them. 4.3 to 100 and high 11 quarter miles from stock. My father has one. I love it. Just not the AMG bills that go with it. Quite popular in the states. Many have them running 9's with just an exhaust, flash and more PSI at full road weight.
