  1. Yeah I got an E39 to tow the race car. Not the best of tow cars to be honest. Plenty of power. Not the right suspention for it. Especially if you lower it. Have replaced all my shocks and every arm in the back in just 1.5 years. Is Rex still bringing in cars?
  2. Yeah thats what I am talking about. Own my own car trailer so don't hire them. Spose it depends on when the hire trailers were made.
  3. They have them at some of the local gas stations around where I live. And the Hirepool ones I have hired have both and they were also un-braked.
  4. I was going to say get Rex to bring you over something nice. But now you can just swap all the gear over into something else and save some money.
  5. Yeah most will say which side is what size. My car trailer has one of these. You just pull the handle up and turn it to the other side. Most rentals I have encounted are the same. But on my E30 I had two Donkey cocks. Just bunged in what ever one fitted. See if you can locate the other size. http://www.trojan.co.nz/index.asp?PageID=2145834345
  6. Was it not a fake? We have the DVD of this and I am pretty sure it is an average citroen with an early F1 V8 dubbed over the top.
  7. HB mate. Was good to see the car back at the last race. Even if you did have another close call.
  8. Most trailers these days are both. Unless they are very old. Lift the handle and turn it 180deg. All the trailers at my local gas stations are both sizes. They need to be these days.
  9. Takes about 30 mins to swap one out. Only held in by a couple of 10mm nuts.

    Need a favour

Would be happy to help Nath. But will they fit in a Yaris? Do they have tyres? Could fit just rims but I doubt they would fit with tyres.
  11. Brothers E38 had every electrical problem you can get. Was from Singapore. Have heard many many other horror stories too. Mate from a large Auto Electrical shop in the CBD trys to avoid them as they can turn into costly nightmares. Have also heard stories that cars can be left running in parking buildings to keep the aircon on for many hours daily. Use it as a means to get a cheaper price. You also rarely get any import info on the car like you do with the Jap cars.
  12. Yes thats correct. Joanne Johnson is driving the Hell Wagon. She has come from Alfa's. She had a run in my car a few months back and loved it. She is also racing in the E30 series. Not the open class. First female in the E30 series.
  13. It should be a wicked day for BMW racing. Rather than having our races spread out over two days we have all four of our sessions on one day. In total there is 9 BMW races and 3 qualifying sessions. No matter what time you turn up you are bound to catch a couple of races. Make sure you see some of the reverse grids though. They are action packed. Come and see BMW's being driven how they are meant to be driven. Thrashed.
  14. Nice vid Brian. Moved it to the vids section though.
  15. Generally the rear shocks will be quite large with self leveling. Another test is to get everyone to sit in the boot while the car is running. Haha.
  16. I deal with Mechanics all day. Who want everything for nothing. Especially in the areas I am in. I deal with these "Non NZers" all day every day. Most are great though. But there is many who are such hard work.
  17. When connecting to a PC should I use HDMI or the old VGA cable? TV is about 10m from the PC.

Get a Plasma for fast moving games. Modern Plasmas are superior imo. You can get a decent 42 Panasonic Plasma V series for $1600 from Bond and Bond at the moment. Down from $2400rrp. Very good value for money.
  19. After the nightmares my family and family friends have had with Singapore imports I would rather walk than drive another one. Go for a Jap or NZ new one. Not having issues with a Sinapore import is pure luck.
  20. Nice price. Pretty good value for money. And if you not into the 3d stuff like me it is the best one around in 42".
  21. I just purchased a TV today. Was looking at the 50" Samsung Plasma 3d. And comparing it to the Samsung LED 40" 3D. About $100 between them. I didn't really want a 50" but they didn't make a smaller model in plasma. Plasma to me seemed superior. Mainly because there was no jitter/latency. Of which I noticed on all the display LED/LCD's. I sat and watched a 3D preview video. And some 3D Avatar. Not impressed and not really my cup of tea. And with the higher resolutions coming out early next year I decided to just pick up a non 3D Panasonic Plasma Z series and upgrade at a later date if need be. 3D is not worth the $1000 extra I would have had to pay imo. So I grabbed one of these. (Samsung did look better I reckon) http://www.panasonic.co.nz/viera/plasma/th-p42v20z.html $1800 inc gst. Might be even cheaper with the 20% off Bond and Bond sale going now.
  22. Send M3power a PM with your questions. He knows the E46 M3 inside and out and owns one of the rare M3CSL's of which sees the track on a regular basis. All the CSL's are SMG. Oh and Greg's car even ran in a solid 1 hour miny endurance race not long ago.

Haha mate I am doing the same thing for the same games. When I get bored they will be up for $1 reserve. But I had a go in Harvey Norman today. And I really hate the PS3 controller. So might have to get a wheel too.
