  1. Ok will biff it up on the hoist and check the 02 sensors. Rays GT1 scan said the Cats and O2 sensors are ageing or something. I can't remember the exact message.
  2. Haha there is always more passion when talking about bad cars than there is over loved cars. Seems a few have been mentioned a few times. Might end up like Bimmersports own dog an lemon guide. Haha.
  3. Just had mine down on my series car too. Makes such a difference. Recommend having your trailing arms done at the same time though.
  4. I have a 1997 540. Just wondering if I am able to remove the cats but leave the rest of the exhaust system. Non Vanons M62B44.
  5. This can be an argument starter. But just remember that peoples opinions differ and we have a wide range of people on here. Post up the three cars of which you have had the worst experiences driving purely because of the car. Only rules! You must have driven it!! It must be a production car/suv etc!! Give a BRIEF description to why 1. 86 Nissan Pulsar in violet/homax purple. It was so purple that everyone thought you were gay. Everyone! We called it Grimace (Fat Purple McDonalds creature) Used more oil than petrol. 2. 85 Ford Falcon. When people say that car handles like a boat. They are referring to the Ford Falcon. Not an actual boat. Thats just not fair on boats. Would only start when it was sunny. 3. 90's Nissan Vannette. It was a column shift 4 speed. At 100kph it was nearly on the red line. Kept trying to find 5th. It stranded me in the fast lane in Spaghetti Junction with a massive hole in its block. Some of you buggers must have some stories. BMW's not excluded!!
  6. Jeep SRT8? One of my top 10 disliked cars that I have driven. The 430 is great. But not in the same class as the Lexus.
  7. I would buy a scooter or a bike.

Meh. Family Guy Cool Whip version is better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lich59xsjik
  9. People still pay to see that junk? Should be spending your money on tickets to the Bruce Maclaren Festival at Puke if you didn't go last week at Hampton. At least then you will see real race cars once driven by legends. Oh and they know how to go around a corner.
  10. For the reaction arm bushes BM Workshop in East Tamkai can do these for you without pulling all the suspension out. They have an on car tool to press them out and press the new ones in. I am getting mine down very soon. Ray from Hell BM had his done in his E39 and it really did make a difference. Replace them with the X5 version. BTW! Congrats on the purchase.
  11. Yeah after reading more about them the MS version looks far more appealing to me. The dual screens will mean multi-tasking. Camera. Better integration with office computers and software (mostly PC's). And the best part of all. You don't have to wear ball crushing tight jeans and hang out in a Ponsonby Cafe'.
  12. There was a much better dual screen thing from Microsoft. Here it is. Has a camera etc.
  13. Had a bit of a search but didn't find much for sale in NZ. After having my race cars gearbox tip over in my boot and dump its oil everywhere I decided I really should get a boot liner for the amount of dirty gear and race car parts I carry. Can anyone recommend me a liner that I could get locally? Seems plenty of them available overseas. Needs to have edges to catch any spills. Wondered if the Estate one would fit the sedan? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-267965290.htm I will give fully equipped a call which I have just discovered sell the weathertech brand in NZ as I was typing. edit: They don't do the sedan.
  14. Ollie, Andy and myself should be Purple. Just to make Simon jealous.
  15. There has to be issues ah. That wasn't just a start price. It was reserve. Only a few months back I was looking at 2003 540M's at that price.
  16. Make sure you name the photos correctly. Like E34 Dash Cluster or something. Photos like that are so hard to find in a quick google. Was looking for some the other day for the E39. I did read a thread on how to convert your standard bulbs to LED's a little while back. And they still worked on the dimmer switch which was awesome. It was for an E30 though.

    For iphone users

Wow the Apple apps are great. Just wish they worked on a phone that is not a complete rip off.
  18. Cheers. If you have any queries just let me know.
  19. Sometimes it takes experiences like Mike has received to realise you don't enjoy the business your in. It has obviously made him sit back and have a go over. Pretty sure he would not just dump the business because of a few muppets. They are just part of the problem of which he no longer enjoys.
  20. Oh god. Really going to get myself in trouble with a finance company if I keep looking at these cars.
  21. I love it. We got told all about it when we were invited to the Secretary of Toyota's house in Palmy with the BMW race series guys. Even he said it was a bit pricey. But also mentioned at the time Toyota was not bringing any into NZ. But that doesn't stop people importing one them self. Might be a while to we see one cruising around.
  22. Oh and still make sure you check the tamper dot. Most of them get modified before they get exported to fetch more at auction. Quite common on SingaPOOR models. Not so much on Jap models anymore.
  23. The good thing about the TU Brent is the power is in the perfect place for towing. Which is what my car is for. Would suite me well. But Ray refuses to swap with me. I may end up selling this current one and purchasing a late model diesel E39 if I can find one in my price range. Diesel has the same torque as the B44's! Will miss the V8 though. I see this one is back up for sale. Must be rare being Manual. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-266933356.htm
  24. Half my E39 came from this Man. Haha. No doubt the other half will one day too.
  25. Not sure it has been mentioned but being a 12 year old car with those Km's I would check the tamper dot. It is a little red dot that is displayed on the dash just after the Trip KM's in the bottom center. If it is not there you should be ok. If you are getting the car checked by a workshop some shops have the GT1 system that can talk to all the systems to determine if there is any KM mismatches.
