  1. Just like the age old Rome Tube gypo robbers who would biff their baby at you while there kids are nicking your sh*t. Load of crap.
  2. Yeah the bumpers have nothing to do with the look of the arches. The PFL arches are a different shape altogether. If I was you I would not worry about silly things like this. Or even making your car look pretty. My car is the ugliest in the bunch and still came 9th last season with a weak motor. Spend your time and money of things that matter and get you racing.
  3. Stuff that. I have just taken one out of the parts car. And once it comes back from its build I need to take out the old one and put in the new one again. I am over it even if it is easy.
  4. It takes me longer to jack the car up and get it onto jack stands than it does to have everything unbolted and ready to pull. Takes 10 mins to pull it out. By myself. It is dead easy with the PFL. I just leave the loom attached to the motor, undo the power steering pump and clutch slave. Driveshaft, exhaust headers, radiator pipes and unit, push gear shifter through hole, gearbox mounts, engine mounts. Pull out. Though the first time is much different. Especially if you try to do silly things like split the motor and box while in the car and you don't own any torx keys.
  5. Spose you will be climbing all over it huh.
  6. Mate got one of those chineese knock off screens from smith and smith. Was like you were wearing someones prescription glases. They also used the ugliest generic seals I have ever seen.

    E39 Love

Nice wheels. Too low. Function over Form is what E39's should be about.
  8. Ugly little hatchback. Replacement for the TI but twice as homo imo.
  9. Jono51 this was not a post for you to hijack to sell your parts. Your posts have been deleted. If you want to offer parts put them in the for sale section or send a PM to the person directly.
  10. My black E39 had its bonnet and boot painted. The paint was so cheap and it was such a poor job that it cooked during the summer. I also have an E30 parts car that has had 6x9 holes cut in the rear parcel try. And it looks like they used a blunt axe to do it.

    Gran Turismo 5

Yeah I thought so too. I tried it with both a G25 and Xbox 360 controller on PC. And the drifting was just horrid. Was actually a different physics setting for the drifting part of the game. Is a good step in the right direction for the NFS franchise though. Couldn't stand those FNF style games. RFactor2 is coming out soon. Once again it won't be on par in the graphics department. But it will be far superior in the physics and sim area. If you want some sim fun should head down to Hyper Stimulator with some mates. http://www.hyperstimulator.co.nz/gallery.html Would love one of those machines at home.
  12. Thought it would be a laugh to see what needs replacing on everyones BMW's. Just a list of things you would like to replace or maybe that you need to replace and plan to do so. Just realistic things that you could do in a few days if you had the time and money you needed right now. Should be a good read. I will leave out my race car as that needs around half a car at the moment. So here is what I need and want for my E39 540. Need Rear Right wheel bearing is noisy as heck. Heater control valve as the passenger side is stuck full hot. Drive shaft hanger bearing from all that towing. New cam cover gaskets New shocks New tyres Want Damage on Rear Right repaired Paint on Bonnet and boot done Front and rear bumpers painted Wheels repainted Tinted windows (getting on Thursday) Few of the door seals are getting a bit on in life But other than that she goes well. lol

Just put a roll cage in it. Whats with the fixation on Airbags. Early Airbags did a whole heap of F-All on many Jap cars. Will try find you the article.

    Gran Turismo 5

GT4 was a massive fail. Most of the settings you could adjust actually did nothing. Things like adding a 2 way LSD to a car that already has a LSD from factory still ends up being a single spinner. Try doing some dough nuts. GT Prologue was just a PS3 version of GT4. IMO the physics engine is what will make or break a Arcade/sim like Forza or GT. If all the cars handle the same like in GT4 and Prologue then people don't enjoy it as much. Prologue felt like you were trying to steer a supertanker through Auckland CBD.

    Gran Turismo 5

Nope GT died with the horrid GT4. And from all the gameplay vids that were released for G3 I have only gone off it more. Cars look like they are all made from ultra high gloss plastic. Physics look like the cars are on rails and made of granite. Damage models are a joke. The only thing that attracts me to it is the promise of such a huge amount of cars.
  17. Yeah first thing I noticed too. Haven't seen them in years. Was the real in thing to have in the late 90's on your Rotor. So is it common for the 28's to drop driveshafts? Daves one was a worry. Kinda close to where his ass was.
  18. Hmmm Grandmas Hotted up hatch back. Or a V8 M3. Hmmmmmmm. Modern Econo Hatch = Girls car no matter how many stripes it has. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-307049034.htm
  19. Iphone 4 Battery Standard battery, Li-Po 1420mAh Stand-by Up to 300 h (2G) / Up to 300 h (3G) Talk time Up to 14 h (2G) / Up to 7 h (3G) Music play Up to 40 h Iphone 3GS Battery Standard battery, Li-Ion Stand-by Up to 300 h Talk time Up to 12 h (2G) / Up to 5 h (3G) Music play Up to 30 h So going by those figures (Apple Specs) yes it is. But Apple specs like Nokia specs are often inflated. My brother is lucky if he gets 3 hours talk time on his 3GS.
  20. It happens everywhere mate. Just these guys got caught. For a while there was a group of Asians here imitating Japanese Wangan racing. (Motorway racing). They were more likely to be sitting between 250-300kph. And quite often raced on Sat and Sun during the day out by the Bombay hills.
  21. Meh see worse driving than that on a daily basis on Aucklands Motorways. They wern't exactly cutting people off and drifting around corners killing todlers.
  22. Well I know someone who works in the Apple test chambers. The problem does exist. And the bumper is not a sure fix. Though their focus has now moved back onto the overheating problems various Apple products have been getting. It is bad enough for my friend to stick with his 3GS. Will wait for the superior spec'd Nokia N9.
  23. Sent you an email to set up some times. Cheers Dan
  24. I will not work with anything less. http://www.sony.co.nz/product/hdr-ax2000e
