  1. Sweet. They finally rang me. Well someone did anyway. Think the seller went overseas before the auction ended. Not so pissed off anymore. Back to being stoked.
  2. Nice read. Love that timing system that takes up one of the vents. One Day.
  3. Hmm yeah could be a female. Would make sense. Lets just hope they are not checking their emails. They actually had quite a bit of E30 gear listed. And I see none of it has shown up in their feedback area. Suggesting nobody has been able to contact them. I have already attained their address and other numbers. See where this goes.

    Chop Shop

Lol 6" Spacers. Hmmm does the car come with a life time supply of Hub bearings? Imagine the extra load put through the hubs. I am pretty sure it is illegal to have spacers more than 30mm in NZ.
  5. Thought I had got myself a great deal on a replacement motor for my 325. Won a $1 reserve on a 91 E30 M20B25 that came with ECU and all the loom. Aution ended at just over $206. At the time I was a bit too stoked that I got it so cheap. Should have knowen it would be to good to be true. Sent numerous emails and even located the guys cell number. No replies at all. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=201093902 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings....?member=2178425 Also just noticed that someone made an offer to which the guy replied. Could mean that it was sold long before the auction ended. Does anybody know this guy? From Papakura. Name is Toni Mac.

    Victoria Fires

Its 183 total. 80 still missing. Up to 100 of those killed were from deliberately lit fires.
  7. Concord (Momo) has got E30 ones at the moment. Mine was $90 + $10 for shipping. And you can get the D1 Spec detachable hubs for about $50.

    I've gone limp

Had Nissan's for just over 10 years now. And I don't think I have ever been able to show up and get a part off the shelf from them. Even some of the most simple common parts. It is also cheaper and far quicker to purchase genuine parts through the states for most performance Nissan's. But the certainly do break occasionally.
  9. Anything you like mate. Up to you to make sure it is safe though. Your pretty much only need a helmet and away you go. Very laxed as Brent said.
  10. The test days are usually every other week Glenn.
  11. Thats a great price Mark. Will pass this on to a few people.
  12. Dad has an XK8 soft top that only gets used when I am borrowing his E55 Merc to tow the E30 around. He loves it. Has only done 40,000kms or maybe less. Still looks new. Does play up a bit when the battery has been dead. Typical mid 90's Jag electrics apparently. I like cruising in it. Just have to make sure you have a good looking gal next to ya with the top down. My favourite is of course the E-Type. God they have just beautiful lines. I really hope to get one at some stage with my Dad. Are those wheels at the top of the page Simmons or BBS? Ether way $$$$$$$$$
  13. Am going the 2.8ltr M20 route now. Will be getting Gavin to Chip and Tune for me. Most effective gains for $$ spent.
  14. Your best to have a search mate. Top right had side. Or just browse this section. Also helps if you tell use which motor you have.
  15. Only a handful of Silvias are using it. And they are Tuned for it. It does make more power than the BP 98 octain but you need to tune the car for it. But I would never use it in something as old as an E30.
  16. Yeah a mate of mine has the newer shape and has said the same thing. I just presumed because it was a Honda it would be. Still one of the better Otara Taxi's though. Shame there is not many Renault Espaces here. Very quick they are.
  17. There is a bit of power to be found from the M20B20. But not alot. In the race series people are getting up to 130rwhp. Which is a good amount of power. But as stated. A M20B25 is not that expensive, an easy swap and around 138rwhp with little to no mods. All my 325 has is an budget exhaust, 300,000kms on the clock and it is 140rwhp. Dynoed.
  18. Ok I am just wondering if there is many parts that are better on one motor than on the other? Or are they very similar? The 320's have a few little differences that when combined can lead to more power. Mechanical differences.
  19. Right Hand Drive. Left Hand Drive.
  20. Yeah 1J is quite a bit heavier. But the SR is quite a bit lighter. And a CA will be running its big ends every other day. lol
  21. Was a thank you post to Gavin a week or so ago. I have found nearly everyone I have delt with in the BMW scene to be very good. In the Nissan scene nearly everyone I dealt with tried to rip me off or was an a**hole. BMW ftw.
  22. Would prefer a facelift motor. Do not want something that has been cooked, or has any damage. Worn camshaft, stuffed rings are fine. 0211 88 77 33 or PM Cheers Dan
  23. Hmmm I see. I am going to drop the car at my mates Pitt Stop tomorrow morn and will look at my other 320's setup and see what needs to be done. I may run out of time to sort out the valve this week. But will get into it next week. Needs to be sorted. Will keep you updated.
  24. The brakes only started playing up on Saturday morning. And I did the conversion quite a while ago. I have a feeling it is the booster causing the probs. Will get it rebuilt. The brakes stay on. But I can hold them off by pulling the peddle back. Could be only a small split. And I never installed the proportioning valve from the other car. I will get one to put in. I never changed this over as the guide I followed for the conversion never mentioned it. Easy fix though. Cheers mate.
  25. My E30 series car has been converted from drums to discs. Now I was just wondering about the valve that controls the rear brakes. Is this valve (can't remember the bloody name of it) any different on the models with Drums? I spoke to another driver over the weekend who had done the same conversion and was also looking into this. Now as for my peddle not returning. It is actually a little more than this. My brakes are actually staying on. To the point where I lost a few positions coming onto the back straight. Until I pulled the peddle up with my foot. Didn't worry me too much over the weekend as there is only two braking points for us really. But was another thing to try and remember. Is this the booster playing up? I have tried adjusting the linkages. I drove the car home from the track and pretty much had to hold the peddle up the whole way home. So was getting worse over the two days. A light on my dash was flicking on and off occasionally. : o : sort of looks like that.
