Well that is a fail statement. Owen Evans crashed trying to break the NZ Land Speed Record on an Open road at over 200mph and survived. But I can not find the footage or any official links for him or the record. Anyone got anything?

But I am sure anyone with half a brain would not think they are going to score a E39 540i for $4000 right? lol

Criminals are criminals. Why on earth would they go out and buy a whole bunch of legit plates when they could just steal them instead for free. And as for clerical errors. I have used them to get off many fines. Was a few years ago now but I have even had a large fine wavered for the officer putting down one digit of my plate incorrectly. Got let off for an officer putting down the cars details as a Nissan Toyota. And that was just automatic. I did not write in about that one. Just got sent a letter stating they would not be pursuing the offense. In a similar situation to yours I was sent a fine after being told he was only giving me a warning and time to correct the issue. I just called him up and he corrected it for me.

I didn't need to do anything in my 4 Door E30 Series car. The seats and belts are fully removed. But my cage is homologated and I have a log book and race license.

For NZ new ones they all seem to range between 25K-30K. Jap ones can be half that.

That car was 10x cleaner than my sisters Cynos. I once jumped into my sisters car to move it and threw up in my mouth. The stench was incredible. Was a starbucks coffee in the back that told me he had been there about 3 months. Crazy thing is she is a pretty girl who spends hours in front of the mirror. We just sold it as is where is. Hulme car was out doing laps at Puke on Friday. You need to be out thrashing your own cars at the track to see these things. I was pretty gutted that the show was on the same weekend as the E30 series final round. And the last big airshow also clashed with a E30 round. As much as I love planes. I love racing cars more. I did manage to catch a city over flight of a P51 chased by a Vampire and a ummmm slips the mind. Another jet anyway. Was sitting at my Dads in the viaduct when they flew over.

The ceramic coatings only come in two sweet colors. Black and Grey. haha. All other coatings will help reduce temps but no where near as much as the ceramic coating does.

Have a look at mine of Friday Dave. A few mates have had their turbos coated. Works a treat. Looks alot better than heat wrap. Heat wrap gets all manky pretty quickly. But wrapping or coating will give you similar results.

I see there is plenty of kits on Ebay. I dont care about Navi. The $5 map book will do me. But would quite like the phone function. But I also didn't get a car with a phone. At some stage I would like to be able to play MP3's and be able to pick the song I want etc. My car does have DSP if that causes any problems.

If you have an E39 540 you could save yourself some money. The plate E39540 is on TM for $500 starting bid. But if you want a more sh*t version for a crapload more you can get the plate FIVE 40 for 10X that! Yes someone thinks they are going to get 5K for the plate FIVE 40. lol. Would rather the plate E39540 for 5K.

I dont think the ABS system is linked to the main ECU at all. All the brains for the ABS is actually attached to the ABS pump. But the car is being dropped at my mates Auto Electrical shop tomorrow to see if he can hunt down the problem.

I recently purchased a 97 E39. But I dont have a TV at all. I wanted to get the system at some stage. I presume there is more for me to purchase though?

Because then I need to spend $500 on a cert plate. Not interested in pulling it out unless it is going to cost more than that.
