I have both a 2 door PFL and a 4 door PFL and FL. But to be honest I don't favour one over the other. They both look good in their own way. But if I was forced to pick one. I would prob choose the coupe. The interesting thing was that most people in the BMW race series think the 2 door is the better car. No idea why. Mine is of course a 4 door. Always wondered if it was because they thought the body would be more ridgid. But I would have thought the 4 door was more so as it doesn't have those longer rear quaters with little bracing. e.g. the 4 doors rear door area would give it more support?

Hey guys. Just wondering if it is possible to use the factory E39 TV (non widescreen) in a car that did not come with the unit from factory. Not fussed on having TV stations. But is it possible to install the unit without changing the loom over? Changing the loom is a mission and prob not worth it. I have the Business dual tuner system with tape deck and DSP.

Sounds just like my sister Bravo. But she would have to repeat steps 1 and 2 at least 3 or 4 times.

I am surprised he needs the codec. I have always used Sony cameras and have done a huge amount of editing over the years. Not once did I require a MPGA codec. Did you get any software with the camera?

Never heard of that Audio codec to be honest. Is it known as something else maybe?

I just changed the springs in my E39 the other day. A little harder than an E30 thats for sure. Never had any trouble with my E30's removing shocks. Always just used the shock method. Can't believe your manual tells you to leave them in the car.! lol.

Noticed you have a dealers plate. Hope that car of yours is not just on hold. If the car has a NZ registration (expired or not) and you also have a dealers plate on. You are currently driving a car that has two separate registrations. This is fraud. If you get pulled over by a cop who knows what he is doing you will have the plate confiscated and be fined for driving a car with no current reg and wof. And if he thinks you are abusing the dealers plate it will be permanently taken and you will have a sh*t show of getting another one. How do I know this. It all happened to me. Oh and you also have no insurance in this situation. As the fraudulent activity instantly cancels it.

How long does it stay clear? I would imgine that NZ's harsh UV levels would put it through its paces. Does it go cloudy or yellow like the crap they use on the XK8 Jags? I ask these questions as my father may look at something like this for his E55. Which has just been repainted to fix stone chips and jelous people in public car parks.

Been heavily discussed on the SNZ forum. Drifting in NZ has never been this unsafe. Who ever organised that event should be prosecuted. Still not sure if there is any deaths. But there looks to be at least one. We use to sit all around the track at Puke during D1 rounds. But always behind the barrier. Can no longer do that during rounds though. Its in the stand or not at all. Have a watch of this vid. I took it many years back. See where the car reversed into the barrier and ripped it out? I was standing there 5 mins before that. Didn't know there was some in the glovebox. Will check. Will also check that everything is still plugged in. Haha. Had planned to do it today but put some new springs in the car and found that it is not a simple job compared to a Jap car and ran out of time.

Was looking at doing this on my E39. Being Black I thought it would look good. Also getting dark colored wheels. Will be a very dark car after I am done with it.

If you want to see something a little more eye opening. Visit a Camp. Dachau is near Munich. I went to Mauthausen. Was pretty sad. But I still recomend people visit one. Man I wish I wasn't so hammered going through Germany. Contiki Tours are not good in that way. Jelous. Wish I could go back sometime soon.

Hey people, Yesterday I went to move my seat a little further back and found that the seat controls were not responding at all. I tried the memory settings too. They still conrtol the mirrors etc but not the seat. The passenger seat is still working fine. I checked for fuses etc in the boot but of course there is nothing in there about the seats. Any help is appreciated.

9's and 10's easy. Been looking at changing my wheels on my 540. Have those fake M5 wheels at the moment in 18". They look ok. But I feel the front offset is a bit weak. Could be solved by spaces. But better just to get better fitting wheels.
