I am selling on behalf of a friend. 1 pair of rear Bilstein shocks. They haven’t yet been fitted to a vehicle. They are performance shocks so would be ideal for a lowered or standard height BMW for road and track. These shocks are to suit a Series 3 E30 1983 -1995 and Series 3 E36 316,318 Compact 1994-2001 Hatch. I will post a picture up over the next couple of days. You will not find cheaper. $200 for the pair Give me a buzz for further questions. 0212349761 Shocks in Auckland Howick. Can arrange a courier if needed.

Ahhh. Thats an 'Only in AMERICA' joke that has been replaced with Australia. Saw it many years ago. And makes more sense if you replace Australia with America.
-
Shouldn't the water just have parted for the BMW?
-
Hmm would love to get one. And a butcher opened up over the road last week so would be great.

That is around what I can Bilstein shocks and springs for in NZ excluding shipping. Similar combination. But just out of curiosity how much was the shipping and did you get picked up for GST?
-
God that looks good. Whats it end up costing you Glenn? Does it work out cheaper than purchasing it from the supermarket?
-
Thats only cause he runs out of straight. lol. My 325 3 wheels coming through castrol. Have some photos somewhere. 320 doesn't though. Must be due to the 325 having a front and rear sway bar.

Dont think I have the self levelling. One of my shocks is leaking so I want to replace them too. Would rather have some new ones than some unkowen condition second hand ones. The ones I am looking at are the 40mm drop ones. There are currently no H&R springs in NZ for the E39.
-
The kit for the E39 is just over $1000 I think. Cheapest I can get replacement shocks for is at staff pricing. Around $1300 for some Bilstien replacement shocks. Then I need to buy springs. And the shocks are not pre shortened. Going to take my mate out and see what they are like. And what sort of warranty they have. Will update with the details.

Hey guys I want to replace the suspension in my E39. I require shocks and springs as I have that adjustible factory stuff that does not like being lowered. I came accross this brand Supersport on a few websites. And then found someone selling it on TM. Has anybody used it before? They claim it is all German Made and of high quality. I have the worst luck with shocks. Have had I would say close to 50 shocks let go on me over the years. I have changed my driving style quite a bit these days though. No longer a drifter. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-217646946.htm I will still go and check the shock quality out before I buy with my mate from Autolign who is a shock engineer. But would like some Bimmersport feedback also. Cheers Dan

Not the smartest thing to do if you dont want people knowing what you have purchased. You can look through peoples auctions in their feedback. Caught a mate out who had been buying bondage gear once. lol. Oh and nice 4 year old post dig up

Use to do this when I was 15. An Arty mate did something similar on my Toyota Soarers boot lid and roof and a huge NO FEAR over the back windscreen. Used Posca(?sp) Pens. Was prior to a rub down.

Purchased my absolute minter 1990 320 Auto for $1000 Just had to change its head.

Hence why my 2.8 project is on hold at the moment. It is not the best bang for buck. Best bang for buck would be replacing the motor with a 1JZGTE. But I like the BMW M20. And wanted to stick to it.
-
I was told by Gavin and Hi Velocity to not go higher than 282 for the M20B28 I may build. And I would require new hardend rockers and valve springs. Prob going oversized valves at the same time. What your thinking of doing will set you back more than 2K. You do realise this?

Excluding VAT? I think I will go for the quaife unit once I can put enough money aside. Suspension will come first though. Well a full service is first.
-
Cheers that has helped a bit. I might look at the Quaife unit. As finding second hand E39 M5 parts in NZ..... Well. Looks like this is only going to happen if I really want to spend some coin. I miss Nissan's sometimes. Anything from anything will bolt to anything in a Nissan. Would have thought there would be an easy internal swap. Why did these cars not come with an LSD. Instead they just set the traction control to be overactive. lol. Cheapest I have found is $850USD on Ebay for an M5 unit. They can also do the driveshaft. Would end up around $2500NZD by the time I finish.
-
Wow that seriously sux. For a start the M5 diff is around $1200USD. Presume the drive shaft would be over $600USD. Then trying to find 1988 750 diff spindles, yeah right. Bugger.
-
Am interested in any options my 540 may have for an LSD. Obviously not a fan of the horrid open diff. Is there any other diff units or internals I can use other than the M5 unit ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) or a custom unit? Apparently the E34 diff is not compatible.

Edgewater girls. 90% of them could beat up most white boys. Us Macleans boys stayed well clear. But anyway. I am not popular with me mum at the mo. Decided to go racing all day Sunday. Was also my Nana's birthday. May not have been the best decision. But I had fun!

That look is soooo Mitsubishi Erron Get some DTM looking wheels to suite that race car look.

Police can now amend errors like this. And the police reply to his over done letter is a generic "we can't be bothered wasting time persuing $160" reply. The tool should have just manned up and paid what was due.

Shelley according to Howick tradition. You should have had your first kid by 18. Your breaking the cycle!
