Hey Dave. I think I have a spare catch can around somewhere at home. You can get a kit from supercheap. http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Calibre-Oil-Catch-Can-Polished-400c-CALOCT01.aspx?pid=155177#Cross Will have to have a good rummage for my one. Might be better to just grab a new one.

Hey guys, Does anyone have a cheap open diff sitting around. After something that is not noisy. Good bearings. Cheers, Dan 0211 88 77 33

Ha nice. Shane at Prima is who I would have recommended out that way. Have had a ton of work done through them. They repainted my E39 once too.

As there was no drop in KM's on the pre purchase reports it was more likely the clusters were replaced in Singapore. Dead pixels or dodgey behavior it would increase the value of the car. And there is no way to tell from any of the documentation. If the cluster was replaced in NZ before the vehicle was VIN'ed they should have flagged it as the Odo would not match the import docs. If replaced after Vin process then it would show up on a normal Carjam/Motorweb report.

Where in Auckland are you located? Maybe we can recommend you a Panel Beater. Get the repair done right. A cheap repair on a Euro is always obvious. To save money see if you can do some of the easy stuff yourself. Like removing all the broken parts before delivering the car.
-
What happened to the XXR 15X8 +0 rims? Or did you not buy it with those?
-
Yup like if someone has installed a cluster with much lower KM's before selling and exporting from Singapore.
-
Either way. 530 or 540. Make sure she is a facelift and if at all possible NZ New that has been well looked after. Don't touch Singapore import E39's. The 3 I have looked at all had obviously wound back odo's. Easily identifiable by the little tamper dot next to the odo. If its lit its a piece of sh*t.

Never found it anywhere near 10%. Booking months in advance has always been at least 50% more for us. And that is in a totally unsecured park close to the terminal (Domestic).
-
Twice the price? No its $70 more than a petrol for 6 months. I compaired my 530D to a 530i a little while ago. Included Fuel, Rego, RUC, insurance. Diesel was only a $500 odd cheaper per year with just the around town driving. Open road however. Not even in the same class. But I also use mine to tow. Would never tow with a petrol again.

Try one of the wreckers who has modern BMW's. Otherwise PM Hotwire on the forum. He is able to get great prices on this sort of stuff ex Europe.
-
Try Aero Parks if you want to use one of these places. Their facility is just around the corner from ParkNfly and is much much much cleaner. Fully paved. Better security. No young cowboys. Same price. http://www.aeroparks.co.nz/ I have used them many times. Oh and with heavy rain those Puddles at ParkNfly are actually their overflowed sewage. Yup there is sh*t floating around in them. Other way to do it is to install a drive cam or a GPS tracker. They are dirt cheap. We are working on our own drive cam at work at the moment. Once they are in full production I will see if I can offer them to Bimmersport. They are soon to be in a huge number of trucks as behavior cams. 1080p.

Listen to Tom. He knows what he is talking about. Has every cable ever. Pretty sure he is collecting them. Not sure they will appreciate in value Tom. Maybe look at Basketball cards or something

Lol yep that's what I did. Beating 540's onto the motorway from the staging lights. Smoking them out like a 60's Massey Ferguson tractor. All whilst getting 700kms to a tank around town and 1100 on the open road. Diesel Power. Shame about RUC and extra Rego costs.....

Yup talk to Steve Murch. Best way to communicate with him is via the phone. His number is on his bookface page. Oh and Holset all the way. HX35 for you.

E60 - 545I new member, new car. advise and/or help please.
Driftit replied to BIMNUTE60's topic in General Discussion
In the E60 you need to look for the BT module. Have a google for what it looks like. It is behind the trim in the boot. I think left hand side. Easy to pull it all out to have a look. If you car is older than 2005 you prob don't have BT. You can retro it but it is a bit of effort and does require programming. Anyone who knows how to program using NCSExpert can enable it. If you AUX is not enabled you could do this too. -
I have a Wayco Jack. It cost me around $18K in lost income when I tried to pick it up one day. Wrecked my back.
-
Did you pick them up from West Auckland? Have a Rotor tramp stamp? Or have 3 kids to 5 different dads? Rotary girls..
-
Call around some of the freight forwarding companies. $200 seems a bit high. It was only around $70 to send a set of wheels and tyres to Welly. And they were not light.
-
Sure I said this last time. But anyway.. I see the new crate motor as nothing but a waste of money. I would have rather had the original motor rebuilt (keeping the matching numbers). And if I was burning money I would have had the motor built to a much higher standard than the generic stock M60. Forged pistons, Cams... Making the most of the manual box. The M60 is no powerhouse but can be woken up. I have to use this GIF again.

I was going to stroke one of my m20s a while back. And was told this had to be done. I actually have a complete loom and ecu to do this if you need it.

Want some if they are genuine. But that car is in Wellington.
