they would have over quoted because they havnt actually seen the car to get an idea of whats wrong, so they are probs just covering themselves. i doubt it would end up being that much. are the speakers driven by the amp? is there any correlation between anything and the speaker issue? not too sure about battery light, could be a few things. normally if speakers short they cut out, or trip the amp circuit breaker havent really heard of them fading in/out. is the power supply and everything to the amp ok? is the amp big enough to run everything?

never tourqed them in my life, so long as they are good and tight and locktighted... seems like an odd thing to be making a rattle though.

Hey guys, have some lowering springs that i no longer need, about 70mm drop from standart height, they are compressed motorsport springs, compressed properly by nz springs so they are safe. dont really want to send, cbf... if anyone wants them just throw me some beer..
-
swap u an lsd for it then.... and il even fit it free of charge... now theres a bargin.
-
the screwed it to the firewall, there is a box section peice of the firewall that runs just below the windscreen right across the car, the bit that has the big L shaped bracket coming off it when you take the dash out. i just screwed the mounting screw onto a tab that was on there.

thats where mine is, mines a racecar so i dont use the glovebox anyway, you can just get away with keeping the full box on mine, but in saying that my loom is very simplified and i have no heater box etc.
-
^but depending on where you put it you will probably find doing that will mean some part of the loom wont reach where its supposed to.
-
yyyyyyeeeeeaaaahhhhh.. NA... not happening without chop chop i moved mine, i cut the wires goint to the headlights, wiper etc and extended them as required, that is by far the smallest part of the loom to cut...

allan got me some, exactly that mesurement, il ask him where he got it and let you know tomorrow, il come round somewher around 2.30???
-
looking forward to a finished result.

IMO its not worth the hassle, if your that anal about getting a bigger sway bar (which i dont think is always a good thing) then just stick with an uprated swaybar in the factory position, too much hasle for no, if not negative gains...
-
that looks flawless from the photos.. awsome car man..
-
thats what i was trying to say in a round about way
-
as far as i am aware they are the same... easy to adjust. want me to come round and have a look? i got nothing to do...

if the bends look like kinks then yes, take off the pipes and blow through them, make sure fluid is getting through and they are not blocked... i guess a pump with no fluid around (may) cause your problem but usually they are just noisey if there is air in them... try bleeding it again 1st and see if that helps, failing that just go through and check that nothing is blocked and that lines are round the right way, fluids goin through etc... EDIT: just thought of it... if the valves in the power steer rack are dodgy then that may cause the problem.. not 100%sure on that though..

no, same driveshaft, there is a slip joint near the center of driveshaft that will take up any difference.

the bays around wellington airport were exeptionally slippy last night.. back to the op, i would suspect a combo of something on the road, going a lil fast into the corner with too much gas, and being 1st rain for a while... mabey also tyres arnt that flash... i wouldnt be too concerned about it unless it kept on happening around all sorts of corners. then i would be looking to the car for answers.

ummm nothing really. if your getting a bad vibe through the steering wheel when engine is running and your not turning or moving or anything then it will be something touching the steering thats vibrating.. not really much else it can be.

yeah drift cars get a fair beating... i am wanting to make one in the years to come... really have a soft spot for it, just dont like how jappy dominated it is and alot of the guys are all good when you get to know them.. a friend took me up the mount in naki following a couple of d1 guys one night, have the upmost respect for the skills involved after that... lol. but yeah i have always loved it...
