  1. I agree with Blue 540...keep the damn things clean by not braking very often. But then again I`m not in a v8 so I`m a wee bit safer. PS: I`m getting my front pads and rotors done next week by my local garage...( Victoria Street Motors in ChCh ...ask for Kev ) I`m going to try ceramic pads on Kev`s recommendation.. I don`t mind cleaning bird sh*t off my car once a week but doing the front wheels on a Sunday and having them buggered two days later is driving (!) me nuts.
  2. bugger it, you`ve frightened me to death. Back on the in line skates for me...
  3. Ouch...that`s why I asked about the driver at the start of this post. Didn`t even think about what could have happened to a passenger.
  4. And...er...the chap behind the wheel ??
  5. It`s all you see on a Friday night in the pub down here in ChCh though............
  6. Sorry team...I don`t know how to start a new thread. I`ve just got back home from a very enjoyable day out which started with a breakfast watching the replay of the AB`S game against the Bokkies..I just hopped onto Tardme and had a look at the Porsches for sale ( I always do..) Could interested forum users have a look at the 924s for sale ? ( I can`t post a link). THERE REALLY ARE SOME FUNNY PEOPLE AROUND...and I just run an E39...oh well,,
  7. Hi Ray...any 17/18 inch alloys for an e39 ?
  8. Click on `view new content` up the top on the right. For some reason I have to do it twice, confused me initially. First click comes up `no new content`..
  9. The 635 would be the better bet surely..and why get a left hooker ?

    E39 540i

Exactly..and it`s a shame but the market rules and I would say it will get harder and harder to move an e39 540 on in the future ..I`d love a 928 as well but I`d be nuts to even bother as they are just about saleproof. Oh well......

    E39 540i

Cheaper ones than this are sitting on Trademe for ages. I quite often fantasise about getting one but the problem is selling it on further down the track, I think if I got one I`d end up with it in the garage for ever.Plus after 12 months with my 528 I`ve got it nicely sorted and don`t want to go through everything again with another e39. Surely the lister knows all this and would take a decent offer ?
  12. Oh this is great...penile lengthening on Bimmersport.
  13. Wooo..I`m an old dog and these are new tricks...no doubt I`ll be ok with the new look soon. I hope.
  14. Imagine coming home and saying to the wife `look what I just got for 8 grand darling...let`s go and show some of our friends huh...?`
  15. I agree...that scorpion looks very frightening..must have the multi valve 2.5 motor.
  16. Victoria Street motors...Kev and Ade. Ade is a pom, Audi trained but drives a bimmer. The minute you get in there, they`ll tell you they use Oem parts only, but they`ll give you the low down on the best way to keep the price down. Great guys..
  17. I think we need to respect the fact that he has told everyone that he`s dying...oooh hang on, I am too. ( Not sure right now of the absolute date mind you..)
  18. I had a 535i and did 60000 km in 4 years. It was hard on gas and hard on brakes. No other issues apart from the odd leak here and there. It was ex Japan and spent time at Miles Continental as a company car. Fantastic car, I was dumb enough to sell it at Turners though and someone got a bargain..
  19. Jared..I had a 1992 535 a few years ago and sold it when I got a company car. I don`t work for that company any more ( ahem..) and now I`m in a NZ new E39. It`s a magic car, and only 20 HP down on the E34. But the E34 had that look..Oh sh*t so does the the E39...I don`t know really, maybe the E34 is a bit more seat of the pants but my local mechanic can work on my E39 too. I just love the I6`s...............
  20. Hopefully he`ll take my e39 and cash his way..I`ve always wanted a rare corolla...love the stick shift.
  21. In 1999 my first bimmer was an ex Hong Kong 1989 e30 320i bought through Euromarque in ChCh...they were great about the `M` badge ...and took it off when I asked them to. So me, the salesman and the finance company knew exactly what I was buying..I got a stock 320 .I thought it was the greatest car on earth and paid $7990 for it. I still wish I had it, because it was beautiful..White with black leather.Had no trouble with it for 3 years and sold it on for $4000. Oh well... And no clown telling me what it wasn`t...

    E34 M5

    Bloody hell...how many punters would have an e30 m3 and an e34 m5 ??

    E34 M5

Fair enough, I wouldn`t buy this one, and I`d like to know what the guy was up to when he pranged it. But they were hand built, blew the market away when they arrived, and there aren`t many in NZ or Aus. Price wise they`ve hit the deck, which is strange.
