I disagree with you completely TJ. Ever heard the expression `drive it like you stole it`. And the concern for his passenger is the giveaway. He`s thinking when he goes back to look at the car `My Saudi Arabian dad is going to cut my hands off ( or worse) for this. And I just lost 100 quid as well...should have gone to Polytech this morning...`

So the concerned bystander runs to the RH side of the car, and helps out the blonde. Then looks back inside and thinks LHD?? Then the gomer in the baseball cap ( reversed of course...) gets out and seems more concerned about the car than the blonde, who seems in the mood to bugger off straight away. I`d say Gomer was taking dad`s car for a spin....?

Brent`s the biz alright. I just don`t understand why someone would let the car go like that. Try trading it with a dealer and then telling that same ( shocked ) dealer that you`ve looked after the car. Or even worse , stick it up on Trade me and describe it as `well loved , but time to let it go to another good home`. No issues with Brent, I keep an eye on his cars for sale. And I bought a nice wee M5 style boot spoiler off him a few months ago for my e39.

It`s the old story though...this is an M3. Why would a previous owner let it go like that ? Too much money in the bank to care ? Not enough money in the bank to be able to look after it ?

On paper I had the trip from hell around lunchtime today trying to get from Sockburn ( work) to St Albans ( home) to get my bloody eftpos card. And then I had to go back again. Road cones everywhere . But the old Bmw ride and the Stones on the CD player made it just fine. Great looking car, welcome.

That`s what I thought. If it was NZ spec then it wouldn`t have a leather interior ? I didn`t know about the add ons. I`ve seen gold ones in ChCh but not for a while. I think they came out with a houndstooth interior, very classy.

Just to clarify that post Aiden, by decent price I mean you need enough spare in the bank to look after it the minute you buy it.

Have a look at it and then make your mind up. You`ve already got an E30, I would go back to an e30 if I could find a manual 325 at a decent price. Most of the 320`s and 318`s have been boganed in my opinion. Is the 323 NZ new or ex UK ?

So you look after it, add a few bits and pieces and guess what..? The addiction starts and you haven`t spent much at all. Mind you , you did perk it off Grandad..

I think buying a BMW is a great experience. ...Selling ..(?)..and before we all get upset..my brother has been trying to sell his Holden R8 for 12 months. He loves it and he should keep it. Because no one will pay him what it`s worth. Ain`t that the way ???

I`ve found the freight costs almost as much as the parts if you`re buying one off. Otherwise I could see a good business op. But it`s never that simple.

I`ve never seen a 928 with a clean driver`s seat when fitted with the `Andy Warhol` interior. But you can still buy the fabric on e bay. If I ever get a 928, I want the Pascha interior, mainly so I could stay awake on long journeys....

Same with me. Mine was NZ new (535) ,immaculate, in the end I let it go at Turners and got a rear end hammering. Same thing will happen when I let my e39 go. So maybe I`ll keep it. As I`ve posted before, there are bargain Bmw`s out there that are brilliant buying.A lot of people on this forum already own one. Or two...
