Did you check the Bentley manual Ian?
-
Wasn't trying to be a prick, just letting you know that yes, they are reps (I have those exact wheels on my car) and that you may have trouble selling them at that price since you're looking for a quick sale. Here's a link to a set exactly the same for sale for only $600 with tyres: Clicky Sorry if my comment came off as sounding rude. Once again, GL with the sale.

Yes you will "munt" something. An automatic car is just that: Automatic. Just leave it in drive. The gear selector is there only for when you need to hold it in a certain gear (driving up and down hills etc) If you want your car to sound like a manual, buy a manual one!

Isn't $950 a bit steep for a set of reps? Regardless, GL with sale.

Yeah, was just looking at the pics again and it looks to be glued on and then the whole bumper has been painted. Rats! Back to the drawing board I guess, but I might leave a note under their wiper just in case.

Because I spend a lot (A LOT) of time on Bimmersport I am now trained to spot a BMW from 50 paces. This came in handy as I was walking to work this morning when out of the corner of my eye I spied the familiar headlights of an E36. As I got closer I thought to myself "standard car, amber lights, nothing special" until I turned my attention to the front bumper and BAM I almost fell over in shock. This utterly standard 320i sedan had but one modification: A genuine AC Schnitzer front lip made for non-M bumpers! Not only are these rare as rocking horse ablutions (the one place in the States that sells them charges about NZ$420 before shipping) but I have just secured the matching ACS rear diffuser from Yuen, so this would make my car complete! So, the stalking begins! I have purchased a large amount of non-perishable food items, a tarpaulin for rain protection and a pair of night-vision binoculars, and I am prepared to wait until the owner returns to their car where I will burst out of the shadows and offer them a reasonable sum of money for a piece of their bumper. Wish me luck. Preliminary surveillance pics below.

Bad luck if you have to knob the fatty! 6.63 for me. I guess I'm happy with that. *runs to attic to dust off dumbbell set*

I believe that the South African and (possibly) Jap cars weren't linked into the main BMW VIN database... especially considering a lot of South African cars were "parts-bin specials". That may be why you get a different car popping up when you enter your VIN number.

vouchermate.co.nz HEAPS of deals on there for all you tightwads!

*tumbleweeds* Aaahh, that's the sound of serenity. Cheers Ollie!

I'm sorry, but I don't believe for one second this is an april fools joke. You mean to say that you are able to photshop a pink sticker onto your car and have the foresight (and possibly the most awesome photoshop skills in the world) to add the shadow from your body leaning over the car onto the pink sticker (in shot two) and in the other shot blur the photo so it looks like you've accidentally taken an out of focus shot? Yeah ok. Sorry, I believe you were embarassed by the comments from other members on here and then pulled the whole "april fools" thing to take the heat off of you. Prove you didn't get a pink sticker. Good luck scraping it off, they're very sticky.

Muhahaha! The SLAB club must be a bit thin on the ground now!

Nice 318 mate... I like it in black (hard to keep clean though!) Your car is a 318ti M-Sport. Meaning it has the sports bodykit/wheels/lights/interior fitted from the factory. So just change the M3 part in your avatar to "M-Sport" and you're good to go! Welcome to the site BTW, you'll learn heaps more about your car by hanging around!

If you haven't seen it already, I highly recommend the documentary "Who Killed the Electric Car". Incredibly interesting story of GM's foray into building electric cars in California in the mid-90's and how the oil companies managed to shut the experiment down. If that program been allowed to continue we'd probably all be driving electric cars today!

Press coverage these days can easily be obtained with a little thing called "money". Please don't put this device on your E90 Norm. Even if he does give you your money back you still have to replace the fuel line you severed to install it and you'll have ugly mounting holes too! Put the $250 towards an intake or freer-flowing exhaust... it'll give way more improvement (well, anything is better than zero improvement! )

What an utter load of crap. These products prey on the fact that consumers are looking for a quick fix to rising petrol prices without having to make sacrifices in the way of buying a smaller car/traveling less etc. You'd think that if this sort of technology works and is cheap, car manufacturers would use these principles when designing their engines! They don't because they don't work! As for the "testimonials"... if you buy one of these "fuelsavers" you're going to try to get good fuel consumption figures so you can impress your mates telling them how well your new purchase works. Therefore you subconsciously drive more economically and get good results! It's like doctors giving placebo pills to hypochondriacs, the pill does nothing, but the power of positive thinking does wonders! Save your money for another tank of gas, it'll get you further in the long run! /rant. Phew!

I have a Sega MegaDrive in the attic somewhere, I should pull that out and play some Streets of Rage II again!!!

Your post is pointless.

I'm looking at getting a PS3 for two reasons. 1 - It has a Blu-Ray drive and that saves another purchase down the track 2 - Gran Turismo 5 The Gran Turismo series was the sole reason I decided to buy a PS1 back in the day and also my PS2. I can't wait!

No transmission dipstick on these cars.... you're not supposed to service your own E60! It's a BMW, you're above having to do that for yourself, pay a pleb to do it for you!

Oh hell is this a problem with the e46? faulty e/windows
Mark replied to keen's topic in Maintenance
This is not an uncommon problem, I'd pop off the door cards and see what's happening back there. You might find the windows have slipped off the runners, or perhaps the window motors need replacing. -
They're genuine BMW grilles, just got them second hand on Trademe. Definitely ask the insurance company to facelift it.... it's the same price for the pre-facelift panel so they shouldn't have a problem with it!

Nose panel new from BMW was $200. Grilles I got off trademe for $50. Painting was $150. So all up about 400 bucks. I'd imagine you could save a lot of money by finding a used nose panel in the same colour as your car... I tried this route, but there aren't a lot of Boston green cars about unfortunately!
