Used to be a pizza delivery boy. One time delivering out the back of Havelock north, I was cruising down the street trying to find the number. Pretty easy to find, odds on one side evens on the other. So It was on my side of the road so I was looking as the numbers go up and up then oopps went abit far just missed their driveway... So I popped it into reverse, reversed back to the house, half went up on their driveway and other half on the footpath... then BOOOM the back of the car dropped down and slammed to the ground. I was like WTF hopped out and looked behind me.. Oh what do ya know, I reversed abit too far I textd for some help, Went in and gave them their pizza and then he came out and was like 'Ummmmmmmm, what have u done here?'. Open diff + back chassis liying on the ground and the wheel far from the ground meant it wasn't going Anywhere. And the downwards cliff was very steep to so I didn't like the guys idea of just reversing it back (with my mate and his tow rope) as the car probably would have slid to its doom.. So we ended up using like 2 car jacks alot of lifting, sitting on the back and heaps of wood under the wheel going back and forth trying to make a ramp but most of the time the wheel would flick the wood and send it flying off behind it. Eventually got there in the end though, After about an hour mucking around with it. Had to thank the guy for it and offered him the meal for free but he refused and said he was in need of a good workout before he digs into the pizza haha.

Head isn't designed for the m20b20. The combustion chambers don't match the pistons so compression on your m20b20 will drop. But it does have bigger intake and exhaust ports.

I think I have one of those bottom link bits, you can unbolt it and swap over I'd say (Just the bottom bracket).

Yeah I know. Takes a full day and all.. Everything it failed for last time (suspension, speedo, missing bump stops, bushes, tie rods) has all been replaced now. I went through that fail list and everything has been fixed from that, so unless they find something new i should be sweet. Blitzing through VTNZ was an uber score though.

Nah he's like some foreign guy. That guy may have been talking about the other dark blue e30 around here, but its got a 12a in it but I know it has a locky cos I've seen it doing skids around town etc. LVV cert check on Tuesday with the same guy as last time. I tried to get someone else but won't be able to for a couple weeks so I'd rather not wait. This will be Interesting.

Theres a wire underside (i think??) of the steering wheel thats pushed onto a terminal. Could have come off ?

I was about to question about throttle cable placement til that last pic lol. Wheres your clutch reservoir hiding ? Damn thats looking tough. You must be pretty close to finishing off? Whats left?

ROFL. It hasn't been driven around yet in ages, It's been towed everywhere until it's legal.. Don't know how they would recognize my car how it looks now compared to when it was last on the road and the brief time it was light blue on bottlecaps... Unless they stalk my number plate....

Have a OEM one if you want just pay for shipping..

My rims were $117 via Mainfreight door to door , Auckland to Hastings.

The guys a twit, I seem to get him everytime and he will pick up on all the smallest things and make it a big deal. On WOF sheet in the failed for bit its got 'infringement notice to produce'. Meaning I have to find the stupid ticket I got when it was pink stickered over a year ago in March last year... WTF is the relevance in that to getting a WOF, when it's up to WOF standard (minus the LVV) I went to the police station today they said you just get the new WOF from VTNZ, bring it to them and they will update their system. Stupid Mofo.

That is awesome. How on earth do you complete SOOOOOOO much in such little time!
-
20,000kms ? Hmm........ Old cluster is screwed. I know how to do it now anywho, practiced with the speedo out of the old one. Can't get a cert until next week either, still wondering if I'll make the big meet next weekend

I say remove valve cover. Pin point where it's coming from. Checked fluid levels? Pity you aren't in Wellington or I'd be getting that thing scanned...
-
Yes it's possible. Technically you need a cert (bigger displacement engine), but otherwise it is a direct swap. Changing gearbox isn't necessary though, m20b25 will work fine with the 240.. Why do people have problems with the 240 !
-
It looks like it is reverse threaded?

Just went through VTNZ, All it failed on was not having a LVV cert for the ground controls. Didn't even notice the engine ha! They also want me to wind the K's forward on the replacement cluster I have. It's sitting at 122,000ks, last WOF I was at 136,000ks so they want it up to about 140,000kms when I go for a re-check. Anyone know how ??
