Anyone after a new Clutch reservoir cap? Pretty common to be cracked these things. Bought a reservoir and cap separately and didn't realize the reservoir comes with one anyway. $15 shipped? Can include a reservoir too, But it ain't new.

I reckon M52B28 is the best for a budget and it's real straight forward. Lightweight, plenty of power and .they are quite easy to get power out of with M54 3L internals and intake / cams / headers.
-
Yup, have them already probably a couple pages back. Just need one more section of the loom and then figuring out where everything goes and I can put everything back in. Hopefully have it going in the next few weeks, Just more and more things that need doing. Change one thing then down the line something else needs to be done, then something else. Where did you guys place your Driveshaft loops?

Sent my LSD up to Kayne B to rebuild and add extra friction plates. Wish I had a before photo, The diff was originally from a near 400,000km M325i, then spent 2 years in my touring. Was covered in oil, completely dirty and I wasn't really sure it had any lock up left in it. Looks brand new now. Very impressed. Big thanks to Hans for getting it up there and back for me. Have one part of the loom left which should hopefully arrive tomorrow. I've been blown away how much work is involved in doing this, I definitely underestimated it but I'm in too deep now haha. The wiring is just crazy, bits all over the place. Once I get that final loom all the air intake side can finally go on.

Good luck doing only trail arms, I'd do the whole lot in one shot. Absolute c*nt of a job, I rate it worse than doing engine or gearbox swaps.
-
Only the shocks left now. And I know, I didn't want to part with them they are very good. They just don't work with my current setup unfortunately.

You can only buy in 20L. Talk to Kayne Barrie, he does it for 39.99 /L plus GST.
-
Not sure but I doubt it, rear end is totally different to E30s
-
Yeah I know what you mean, But I don't think H&R had 4cyl / 6cyl springs. They list as compatible with both but with less of a drop on m3/318i. This is how they sat with an m20.
-
Yeah, Just hadn't taken the rears out when I took the photos. Yes I don't think H&R do any different between the two. About 10 - 15mm. Enough to close up a gap. I was using them because my front raised slightly when I went from M20 to M52 (due to being lighter).

Interested in some H&R springs? Full set 280$ shipped

Pod filter or no pod filter on e30?
e30ftw replied to E36ShoppingTrolley's topic in General Discussion
I don't get why you would be against a cold air box, all it means is you are shielding the air intake from the warm engine bay air so it's drawing air through the grills or whet ever, which is colder. Being boxed in can amplify the induction sound too so why not? It's just pointless when you remove the OEM airbox which has a closed in filter, and a tube to get air from behind the headlights. They did it like that for a reason. -
I am looking for the section of loom that sits ontop of the valve cover on the exhaust side of the coil packs. I either need to find the correct part number if someone has it, or the loom itself if someone by any chance has one... This part of the loom is where the O2 sensors for the S54 come up to the valve cover and plug into. I think it also has reverse light wiring on a manual and maybe integrated with more on an SMG? Again, I can't find anything worth while. Here is a picture from google when looking for "MN3 oxygen sensor harness" if anyone can help with one or the correct part number. I have tried Real OEM.

I've had a 55" for a couple years, Feel like it's way too small. Grew up with a mint 21" CRT in the dining room and the splash out in the lounge with a 29" CRT

WTB: E34 M50 Sump, E30 320i Driveshaft and shifter linkages.
e30ftw replied to RipJaws's topic in Want to buy
I sold one earlier this year for $220. But in saying that I bought another of TradeMe as a spare for $120, so you can get lucky. -
Shifter AND Gearbox mount, which makes it obvious. Not that I recommend it, but I got away with VTNZ WOF's 3 times with the M52. If you use all the right bits it just looks OEM.
-
Yes the gearbox fits, I don't know about driveshaft / linkage though from what I have seen the m40 sits more forward being a shorter engine and would have a longer driveshaft / linkage.. But there is a small amount that can be adjusted in the spline center of the driveshaft so who knows. I have done 2x swaps, one with a Getrag 240 from a 318i - One with a Getrag 220 from a e36 318i and both instances used 320i linkage and driveshaft, I never tried 318i stuff however.
-
I ran an m52 in my e30 for just over a year and it was perfectly fine with stock brakes. It's not that much of an increase, just get some new discs and good pads. I you wanted e36 brakes you would need to do a 5lug swap, which isn't a straight swap.
-
Nope. You will need the sump and pickup from an e34 M50 and then it will fit onto the e30 subframe how it is. E36 is too different and rear sump vs e30 front sump.
-
Kind of but not really, you need a mix of parts but you can use an m20 gearbox with modified linkage and a custom mount only. To use the getrag 240 from a 318 you need a 320i driveshaft and linkage but can use the OEM gearbox mount. m20 flywheel will work with either.

That steering wheel looks like someone sewed on a Supercheap Auto steering cover over an SE wheel. Should look at M-tech2 wheels, They are nice in Alcantra (Expensive but you sound like you can afford it), Or a nice Nardi wheel..
-
There is such a thing, not as common but they do exist.
-
I really can't help myself sometimes. Lots of swearing and road blocks, but i'm neeearly there.

Still looking.. Surely someone has one. I have a blank plate to trade if wanted.
