  1. I am looking for the section of loom that sits ontop of the valve cover on the exhaust side of the coil packs. I either need to find the correct part number if someone has it, or the loom itself if someone by any chance has one... This part of the loom is where the O2 sensors for the S54 come up to the valve cover and plug into. I think it also has reverse light wiring on a manual and maybe integrated with more on an SMG? Again, I can't find anything worth while. Here is a picture from google when looking for "MN3 oxygen sensor harness" if anyone can help with one or the correct part number. I have tried Real OEM.

    Quick rant thread.

I've had a 55" for a couple years, Feel like it's way too small. Grew up with a mint 21" CRT in the dining room and the splash out in the lounge with a 29" CRT
  3. I sold one earlier this year for $220. But in saying that I bought another of TradeMe as a spare for $120, so you can get lucky.
  4. Shifter AND Gearbox mount, which makes it obvious. Not that I recommend it, but I got away with VTNZ WOF's 3 times with the M52. If you use all the right bits it just looks OEM.
  5. Yes the gearbox fits, I don't know about driveshaft / linkage though from what I have seen the m40 sits more forward being a shorter engine and would have a longer driveshaft / linkage.. But there is a small amount that can be adjusted in the spline center of the driveshaft so who knows. I have done 2x swaps, one with a Getrag 240 from a 318i - One with a Getrag 220 from a e36 318i and both instances used 320i linkage and driveshaft, I never tried 318i stuff however.
  6. I ran an m52 in my e30 for just over a year and it was perfectly fine with stock brakes. It's not that much of an increase, just get some new discs and good pads. I you wanted e36 brakes you would need to do a 5lug swap, which isn't a straight swap.
  7. Nope. You will need the sump and pickup from an e34 M50 and then it will fit onto the e30 subframe how it is. E36 is too different and rear sump vs e30 front sump.
  8. Kind of but not really, you need a mix of parts but you can use an m20 gearbox with modified linkage and a custom mount only. To use the getrag 240 from a 318 you need a 320i driveshaft and linkage but can use the OEM gearbox mount. m20 flywheel will work with either.
  9. That steering wheel looks like someone sewed on a Supercheap Auto steering cover over an SE wheel. Should look at M-tech2 wheels, They are nice in Alcantra (Expensive but you sound like you can afford it), Or a nice Nardi wheel..
  10. There is such a thing, not as common but they do exist.

I really can't help myself sometimes. Lots of swearing and road blocks, but i'm neeearly there.
  12. Still looking.. Surely someone has one. I have a blank plate to trade if wanted.
  13. Well you clearly know what you are doing, so I will leave you to it.
  14. Wait til it's summer and it gets warmer, Probably get worse. Radiators are real cheap for OEM replacement ones through FCPEuro. I picked up a new one with a whole lot of other stuff and it was $80 shipped.
  15. I think you paid way to much for this IMO, Considering it's not a non Msport and automatic. You can get well optioned SA built e30's in RHD e30's with motorsport kits for half the price.
  16. Need the oil level sensor for an e34 m50 oil pan. I can swap you a blank plate if you have one that you are using..
  17. That looks excessive to me, the bushsing has a metal sleeve which sticks out the top and seats inside a recess around the bolt, with the washer that you can see above it that is meant to be around the metal sleeve and stops the bushing sliding up and out. To me it looks as if the center metal sleeve has likely torn from the rest of the bush.
  18. This was the one on Alpina reps? Nice car, does it need much for its compliance?
  19. Get a Bicycle Headset wrench form a bike shop, They are cheap and perfect as they are thin. I bought one about 6 years ago and still use it to this day every time I come across fan clutch removals. I've never had an issue with using a screwdriver in the bolts.
  20. If someone was using headgasket sealer crap in the coolant before you ended up with it and the issues, it can clog up the radiator. Pays to give it a good flush, or just swap it.
  21. Lack of attention to detail really. The "good enough" attitude that lingers across a lot of trades.
  22. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=942817048 Looks like someone just jumped the gun.. Tech2, Automatic, LHD. 10k?!
