Why go to the effort of taking it all off to prep. Just mask em up and leave them on. Its really easy to bend those trims when your taking them off and putting them on.

Finished the sump off today. Was harder getting it on than off, cause when your wrangling it into position the gasket and sealant goes all over the place. Actually did what looked like a fairly sh*t job but it hasn't leaked yet. Went down the road and got a wheel going to celebrate. Engine mounts look knackered. Looks like the car will be for sale soon as I will most likely be pissing off back to nz to study at Auckland school of Biz. Also got some fines to run away from lol. So from here on I'll just be tidying up the paint, putting the interior back together, and generally cleaning it up for sale. Toodles.

You can do it with the right kind of ring spanner. Has to have a low profile (I think that's what it is called when the ring bit is thinner). Spanners with a low profile are usually the better, more expensive ones. Even then, you've still got FA leverage so its kind of ghey. None if this applies though If you've got coupe seats cause you can fold them forward and get a socket on them.
