The fact Homologation no longer exists in touring/rally cars helps also..

Well put, that’s what I was meaning in a roundabout kind of way! I actually like new BMW’s, sure they are quirky but that is what is needed to stand out from the heard now that les “premium†brands are producing some stunning looking cars. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concept_car It’s a styling exercise.

Nice. So it has a bit of rust, fix it up and add you’re Tech-II (if you still have it) and bobs your uncle. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....c=16661&hl= How many bloody cars do you have!!!

Beauty is in the eye of the cheque holder. By the time most of us could contemplate buying the next generation 5 series the looks may have grown on us… Say ten-fifteen years.

Im sure the VK Group A SS “Brocky†went up against the M3 in 87… I would take a M3 over any Ausi muscle for the simple fact that the M3 was actually a sensational drive on the road and the Commodores and Falcons weren’t.

Whitline do a tower brace for the E30, it is high quality and tested. Was $270 from memory Do they do Tech-II steering wheels and leather gear knobs?? I’ll take one of each.
-
So you are agreeing with me then I was saying they are a comparative bargain. Have you looked at the price of a Group A Walkinshaw of Falcon GT-HO Phase III lately.. And I am totally aware of the racing history, they could even stay with the R32 Nissan Skyline GTR and Sierra RS500 Cosworth on a tight circuit.

It looks odd to me, and kind of pointless. Looking at the configuration this would make it RWD and a Mitsubishi isn’t set up to be RWD, it’s a FWD chassis with rear wheel torque split and looking at the rear end it doesn’t look as if it is set up for being RWD (camber, toe, caster) so it would handle like sh*t.. If it’s AWD still it might be running a modified AUDI drive system?? I wouldn’t think the BMW engine would be any stronger than a built Mitsubishi unit. That engine in a E30/36, then you’re talking.

Do you mind me asking how old you are? Reason I ask is that I can defiantly see that the appeal of these cars is far greater for someone who actually remember them dominating the race seen in there hay day. They are a relative bargain if you start comparing them to Ausi mussel like the VL Group A Walkinshaw or the XY Falcon GT-HO.

Never mind the rest that Opel Manta is f**king cool, I wonder what it is running.
-
They have some nice cars, we looked at a NZ Mondeo ST and a NZ 04 Corolla GT there before purchasing the Vectra. There buyer has good taste in cars.
-
You might get a 318i Touring for that, there aren’t many around so I wouldn’t expect a cheap one in a hurry. 7k will get you a nice 325i sedan with a tech-II kit one would think. Bagging the onto-it guy that is selling it for a profit is such a Kiwi thing to do, I say good on him. You snooze you lose.

Cost me $550 from chch
-
In his defence it is NZ new, has very low kms and has lots of nice options.. It’s a lot cheaper than what even the roughest crapanese import M5 will go for.
-
How much you want to spend?
-
I bet the guy was septic after that, would have turned his day to sh*t… Good police response time!
-
Excellent, sorry to hear about your prang.. Email sent.
-
Cool, I look forward to this spicing it up! Anyone going to Melbourne this year?
-
That’s cool… Would rather a M3 for similar money
-
Shesh, you are a salesmen!
-
Go on then… Better the earrings I was going to buy her, oh and she makes for an awesome sober driver! Fix you up on Saturday

As will have I Just heard JC mum defending his controversial comments towards the British PM on the radio, what a laugh, can see where he gets it from!

I have been missing the GPS our E60 had ever since selling it and am growing tired of the time wasted and arguments with the misses whilst out about looking for places. I don’t need Bluetooth or an FM transmitter as our cars already have MP3 and Bluetooth built in. I would like a unit that can be used overseas as we like to travel. Must be easy to use and menus must be easy navigate. Budget of around $600.00 I have searched the net and found a few but it is first hand experience that I find most valuable. Any recommendations or experiences with various products greatly appreciated.
