  1. Nolithane. About $200 but money well spent
  2. 50mm is a hell of a drop! Do you want the car to simply look good or do you want it to handle? There is a big difference.
  3. Had a cell phone stolen once, the company denied all knowledge and told us we were stupid for leaving a cell phone in the car (which we were) so we waited for the account to arrive and checked the called numbers, on the account was 0800838383 so we tracked down which branch took the call and what address the Pizza was delivered too and went around to the address with a couple of big Maoris that owed us a favour. Surprise surprise , the address was of the fellow who told us we were stupid for leaving the phone in the car.... I dare not speak of how the big Maoris sorted the situation
  4. It’s a family business… maybe the gene pool is running low Seriously though, no need to bag a business in my experience you get what you pay for at Drury Tires, if you want fantastic service and product knowledge pay top dollar elsewhere. I scored some 19" (back when 19†was MASSIVE and rare) wheels for my old Commodore for a heck of a deal from them and when I had a tire blow out they replaced it with a new one no questions asked.
  5. It’s a family business.. I had Anthony run after me with a sticker once and I didn’t even buy tires!!

    Uh Oh

Nice seats and paint job… Would be a sweet car for a chick, just needs some new tail lights and a lowering on decent wheels.
  7. True that, after three state road side rescues in three months I still like mine and would rather it than a Camry that never goes wrong… my missus on the other hand thinks its a piece of sh*t and I should sell it! I got OEM some trim clips for $2.30.. Must be something cheaper
  8. Only problem I could see with the M5 is the fact they look too similar to a regular E39 so nine out of ten people will think it’s a old shiter with a bit of trade me jewellery… whereas an M3 will be recognised due to more cosmetic changes over a stock E46 and is a newer looking car. This could also be an advantage if you don’t care what people think and like confusing HSV owners due to the wolf in sheep’s clothing sleeper look. Not sure which one I would take, both are appealing.
  9. Excuse my ignorance but how would one know if there diff was medium case and what the ratio is?
  10. http://www.mapecu.com/ The developer is a Kiwi and he mostly exports overseas. Im sure MRE34 could give you some more info, better still call Jason at APT. http://www.finda.co.nz/business/listing/rm...nce-tuning-ltd/ Worth a call, even if it’s just to gain a greater understanding of the options. If I were spending $1,200 I would want a decent gain and would do a bit of research, have seen a mate remap his M3 and gain something pathetic like 5hp. $1,200 - 5hp = FAIL.
  11. AFAIK the M3 is quite a high N/A tune stock so a simple re-map is going to do sweet FA. You could always run a MAP-ECU as they delete the AFM (new plenum or not) and are tuned off a MAP sensor, just a thought. There is a Dyno shop in Papakura that install and tune them, Mr-E34 runs one and he got some nice gains.
  12. Pretty much the ultimate BMW in quite a few years, they are an extreme version of the M3, they have obvious performance advantages, all of which you will find with a quick Google, these enhancements could come as a disadvantage if maintenance costs, user-friendliness and comfort are priorities, they run very expensive tires and have quite a harsh ride on your average NZ road. If you do relatively low kilometers in a week or better still have an everyday car this car would be a very rewarding weekend vehicle, especially if you enjoy the odd track day. There is a CSL owner on here that might give you his opinion if you PM him. Id give my left nut for one as would most BMW fan boys!
  13. Yes have pulled many apart, the structure is basic it’s the way they are designed to function properly that is tricky, a car with HID must have self levelling and headlamp washers to be legal and safe, fitting them without both is irresponsible and selfish. I converted a car to HID once using OEM binnacles and self levelling systems, was a bit of a mission to programme the self levelling! After that I had to fit light sprayers to get them certified so I gave up and sold the parts. Would cost at least 2k to convert a car safely legally. I have nearly ended up down a bank on a windy narrow coastal road due to an irresponsible show off wanker with these fitted, hence my frustration with people fitting them. You would need to spend some big bucks to convert a E36 to HID legally, but lucky for you our WOF testers aren’t savvy to what’s actually legal and safe so you should be sweet, in any other country a car wouldn’t get a WOF, good old NZ eh, land of the rangi mods.
  14. Makes you wonder why Hella and the like spend sh*t loads of money and time testing and developing headlights when its so simple.. Muppets eh

    Moari beaches

Oh, and they are most likely protecting there coasts against other Maori’s that are not Nhati Poro.

    Moari beaches

Lighten up guys and think about it, will it actually affect you at all?? And how many of you are more than 4th generation Kiwi’s? The main Gisbourn beaches will still be open so I don’t see it as a big deal, wouldn’t go there myself personally, not much there apart from old school maori’s and surfies. Some coasts need protecting, the rate Fishermen and scavengers are ruining things with there pillaging and greed is disgusting, our kids wont know what its like to be able to go fishing and catch a few fish and eat oysters off the rocks.

    Bmw e39

Love the wheels, super stylish and as said a nice look compared to the chrome queerness.. You got some bodies in the boot or is that the stance?
  18. Do it, you wont regret it, I was zooming along yesterday thinking I was in a new car, was like my suspension swallowed a Viagra I got them done at Manukau Auto and Tire Centre who got them from Autoline and marked them up no doubt, I just got them to handle everything for me as I have spent far to long Nolithane kitting a car before due to different sizes and specs, thought it easier to get them to pull it apart, measure what size goes where, have them pressed at Autoline in Manukau and install them the same day. Great service too which is rare these days.
  19. These will have been done by a few of you but I thought I would post my findings. Upgraded last week. Rear sway bar links $97+GST Nolithane link inserts $29.05+GST Rear sway bar mount bushes $42.92+GST Front sway bar Bushes $42.92+GST Front sway bar mount bushes $42.92+GST Lower Control arm bushes $204.38 I have been meaning to do these bushes for a while and I wish I hadn’t waited, they have transformed the cars behavior big time, it now turns in crisp and stays neutral (no more under steer) throughout the bend and is adjustable (read oversteer) with he smallest inputs from either the throttle or a tug on the wheel, the car is now less jerky through gear changes and the ride is more composed although it comes at a cost to comfort as I can now feel every bump in the road as well as some harsh feedback through the steering wheel due to the mega stiffness of the bushes. If you enjoy driving this is a must do for the E30. I did 300km yesterday and still wanted to keep going. Im totally amazed at how well these little expensive pieces of urethane work, best mod I have done so far,
  20. It has a non Japanese boot lid, check for evidence of repair. Very sharp price.
  21. Auto-line do quite an extensive range of urethane bushes.. I have just got quite a few for my old girl. They will make them up for you too, I had some made for my rear swaybar links.
  22. Happy Birthday matey potatey. I knitted you some e-socks. Enjoy.
  23. The superior looking and driving E46 M3’s are coming in droves and the price of them is dropping faster than a black women in a rap video, maybe this could affect pricing of the E36. You say your mate is looking for his first car, if he is young and has little driving experience I wouldn’t recommend the M3.
