What was the e46 "run out" model BMW NZ offered that had a few CSL parts? Seems similar bar the lack of hideous rear spoiler. Manukau Westfeild after hours is good. Did a shoot with my E60 back in the day

I agree, at your consumption rate, bassed on 40,000km a year you are only spending an extra $1000 a year on fuel than a 325i driver, that's bugger all in the grand scheme of things if you get to drive around in a V8 M3 that makes noises second to only the best Italian sports cars its a small price to pay Tyres are expensive on most modern performance cars and if you have the 18" wheels on the M3 you can get good tyres cheap enough. Having had your engine issues and knowing what can go wrong, would you say you would be hesitant to own one out of the BMW factory warranty?? I know that is no concern to you but please humor the situation a few of us lesser financially endowed.

Bad luck, that must be very distressing, I always fear the damage they do to the car when jacking it. Hope insurance sorts it, maybe get some good puzzle nuts for the next set, that will slow them down a bit.

I am based in South Auckland and have been using Brians Auto Center in Manukau for all my repairs, Daniel, the guy that runs the show is a car nut (performance cars, rally cars etc) and knows all the right people when it comes to dealing with this sort of thing, there are a lot of Nazi's out there to avoid. If your out that way drop in an run past him what needs doing, he will be able to help you figure the best solution to get it back on the road, you may be able to have it retested somewhere else. If it were a Facelift I would be tempted to buy it and resurrect it myself!

Nice one, I like the view out the back, its a new perspective for sure, looked and sounded fast!! You can see your cars power advantage on the straits compared to Ian's, that man is brave on the brakes though!

Looks clean! Have you thought about painting the bumpers SE style, would look good with that colour.
-
A repair cert is not that expensive, I have just had one done, was $250.00. The other repairs seem quite straight forward.

Help with Compact colour choice. Any one know photoshop?

That looks awesome. I love Battle ship grey and red ala R26.R and GT3-RS Have just had 80% of my car re painted and was very tempted to go the whole hog and go Grey/Red -
Quick Question. Are the rear windows in a E30 Convertible independent, IE can you lower them for back seat passengers/dogs yet have the fronts up and roof in place?? I know its an odd question but I have always wondered.

Have only driven the 130i and 123d and both were quite nice, had that typical BMW feel and were familiar. As a daily driver I would be tempted to buy something else that was brand new or ex demo instead.

Foo looks hot, was actually expecting (hoping for) scantly clad women and BMW's. Glad to hear you lost no stock, hope clean up goes well. Hope the guy next door recovers/is not dead.

What's is dodgy about this? How do you think panel beaters fix cars, with magic dust and T-Cut? I have seen much bigger smashes repaired in much the same way.

Here is an awesome idea, take a classic 80's Six Series and install all the running gear from this. Winning.

Is that cheap for a near ten year old Crapanese import that cant be registered in NZ??
-
Looks great, I am on the lookout for a nice face lift E30 SE 325i myself, very nice cars.
-
Its all good, we have a bunch of replacements.
-
Your not the only one There is an IS on TM but its lil bit expensive IMHO.

That's fantastic news for a little Kiwi company. They did the seat for the SRT Viper race car too didn't they.
-
Thanks for sharing, quality project!

But so is a VW Golf or Ford Focus for half the money with more features and arguably a better drive

I had a team develop my exclusive foot wear, Scott Seamans, Lyndon Hanson, and George Boedecker. And they love cheap plastics, bet they all drive Toyota Prius's though.
-
People who wear shoes? There are a lot of us out there? Interior quality is line with vehicles costing half as much, much like most of the modern BMW's.
-
The SRT version can be hustled along quite fast in the right hands, ask anyone who has done Targa Tour. Off topic but that dealership has some nice cars, I went in a month back and they have some nice UK imports, worth a consideration if cross shopping used import cars.

'Probably the best looking E39 540i in NZ...'

Bitch thread is bitchy. Lets bitch about a car that is for sale on the internet. ... I can contribute. At 20k, I would want a 6-Speed Manual, a LSD and 400BHP. As in a BMW M5 please.
