Have they go stocks of them Jon? Thought they stopped building them a while back.

Just a heads up more than anything. I looked at this car a couple of weeks ago, I made an offer. It was for sale on BS early this year and under all the dirt it is a very nice car, the add does not do it justice, just needs the rear door knocked out and a new hub cap for one of the 15" weaves, the engine runs well and pulls strong and is very quite, interior is immaculate, all lecky windows work as does sun roof. Its not a race car or sporty but with a bit of elbow grease could clean up into a nice daily cruiser. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-523937358.htm Someone buy it and clean it up before I do and make myself broke for Christmas.

Spotted a E30 M325i yesterday afternoon in Wiri, It had the 325i badge moved to the wrong side with the M badge remaining and a awesome badge that read "Sports 5 Speed" next to it. It also had some sticker in stereo on the back and some dished style 5's on it. Was white. What loled me is that my wife now yells "E30" when she spots one, she was the one to point out the non oem badging. So proud. Have also trained her that there is no such thing as a "old piece of sh*t" they are simply "classics" in "original" condition that will clean up well.

I think they were around 110-120 new, this one has 25-30k in quality upgrades and seeing they are in such limited numbers I would think it may just be worth asking price to someone. Can see where you are coming from though, normally you would expect a 15-20k drop in price at 10,000km and one year of age. There are other 1M's for that money on TM, non have a spec sheet like this though!

I fell in love way too fast, just worked out what this will likely cost. $200k!! But looking at how fast Jags depreciate I should be able to buy one for half that in less than three years. Personally I like its look, maybe I am channeling my inner bogan, prefer it to a 5 series or E class, the RS6 is nice looking but AWD and boring, this looks like it has the AMG style muscle!

Very impressive looking car, sure it doesn't have the 0-100 time of some of the others but I don't care, thats just on paper, from the looks of the specs and what they have done to it this one will be a cracker to drive. http://www.netcarshow.com/jaguar/2014-xfr-s/

Agreed, the RS3 for example. No thanks. Have seen two reviews on it now and both showed how fail spec it is. The new M135i would get my monthly payment, it looks like sh*t but it is way more practical than a coupe. Thought this was an interesting review, was suprised at how slow the RS3 was, on paper it should rip the Megane, costs twice as much in NZ! https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B0VJ_tbgtJP...GVoM2RQN0k/edit

Good on him, I like hearing success stories. I ask the question what is newer and cooler than a 1M in that price bracket though, seriously, I cant think of anything bar maybe the new Cayman that will be out very soonish and even then you would not buy a first gen base Cayman over a 1M!

Interesting comments regarding the "upgrade" to KW 3's, I think for a road car they are fine, maybe compromised on the trace, as you say raise it up a bit and it may be on par with OEM. Yes they are Recaro Speedsters, a friend has them in his BMW and they are the same as in my car only his are trimmed slightly nicer to match his back seats, they are factory option on most sports cars, Porsche, Lotus, Ford, VW, Audi to name a few. There is no custom fitting or any of that malarkey, they are simply Recaro's, same airbags and mounting's as mine and all, its no surprise they are double the price of what other manufacturers charge, everything from BMW is double the price of what other manufacturers charge

Ah makes sense then. I feel your pain though mate, I am re-complying a race converted car that has had the arse torn out of it, I have literally removed 10 airbags, all other safety equipment, ABS, Emision equipment and much more. Good luck. Maybe someone could lend him one for a week or so?

I would agree if it was King Springs, Advatii, Pitstop with some cheap seats and a Momo steering wheel but all the upgrades are worthwhile and top quality, KW, BBS, Akrapovic, BMW Performance, that ls a nice list of names!! If you have 25k to spend on options why wouldn't you?? As for 1M being ugly, that would be a case of looks are subjective, its not pretty but I think they look awesome, you can tell it means business!

I have those Recaro seats in my Megane RS250, its a $7,000 option, but worth it if you drive like a mad man, they hug in all the right places, hold well on a race track and yet are comfortable on long trips... down side is that there is a bar on the back of them that cuts rear seat foot room and being Recaro the material wears poorly on the lower side bolster.

Just to add to it, BMW 1M Coupe Akrapovic Exhaust Sound: Sexy sexy exhaust system and very expensive upgrade.. think 10k
-
1M + all the stuff you would want on it. This thing has a perfect spec list. I want I want I want... http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-501721914.htm

What sort of compliance requires a strut brace? Random! Have you tried forum sponsor Ultra Racing??

Thanks for sharing that, very helpful. I think I will do my couches, the cat has modified them with its claws.

What a sad sight...Wrecked Schnitzer 3er coupe

Clubsport has special trim and was available in Manual or SMG from what I can remember.. if they had of fitted them with a better diff ratio and limited slip they could have been almost convincing as a performance car. Would love a 330cdi Clubsport with straight pipes and a dirty remap! -
Gavin at Euro-Italian (forum sponsor) sells the OEM leather knobs, they are not as expensive as you would think and are lush.

If its etched it will need to be professionally polished, Novus have a guy who can do it.

Nice car, well done. 5-Speed it.

Not a fan of 7's or big cars TBH, in NZ they make no sense, we don't have an Autobahn or highways like America so a car that big is kinda annoying for Kiwi roads and parking etc.. and that's before you account for maintenance. The Alpina B7 looks like a good time though, they fettle a few things and look to ad an LSD. If I needed something big I would take the new Audi S8, its a much more appealing car to driving enthusiasts.

Funny because that Glass Science sh*t smells and feels like toothpaste!

A clay bar works wonders on glass too if you have a bit left over. I use Glass Science Scrub.. hard work but works well. http://www.smitsgroup.co.nz/ae38/Glass-Science

Same here, I get my fix from Drive and other motoring outlets on Youtube. Topgear is good for some light entertainment though.

Its preference, if you like the M badge leave it on!
