Well done on the M3 and welcome, great car's. Good luck with the accounts department.

My M325i had all those options too, thought it was factory on the updated Tech II M325i. Notice the boot does not line up or close properly, mine was like that also, must have something to do with sideways tendencies and rear quarter replacements Spotted a lady in a E39 that parks outside my office most days, its a relay rough one and looks like it has been parked by the sea most of its life.. has a set of staggered style 5's on it though, so tempted to offer her a set of new wheels as a swap. Also spot a douche in a burgundy Jap import E39 with a cheap body kit and wheels that has a trade-me M badge next to the 5 on the back and he has removed the 40i, this car has been annoying me for about ten years, have walked past it 1000's of times. As much as I am tempted to rip the badge off I must respect the "never touch another mans car" rule. I hope he is reincarnated as fake AMG badge and has to live a life time on the back of a E200.

True In a country where there is a good chance of being shot or blown up i'm guessing the price is not to bad, you cant put a price on staying alive! In NZ I would be more concerned with its electronics going wrong and being stuck in the bloody thing... The armor would come in handy against haters and youtube commentors though.

I drifted a Hilux Surf on a round about once, was awesome!

That's a cool car, would want the convertible though as so I could make my forehead look more like a 55 year old with sunburn. All I really want is a new pair of crocks and maybe a nice bottle of scotch.

I'm definitely not going to buy this car based on the above comments.

Just testing out my new Vaseline filter in instagram. Looks like an awesome spec car with decent millage, still seems expensive but somehow worth it, one of these chipped with an LDS would be a weapon!

You said it first in a earlier post, I was just reiterating. A three door countryman, who asked Mini for that? Spotted a Coupe the other day and it looked so cool amongst the boring Auckland traffic. Its hard to pin point when things started going wrong but up until the 90's BMW had a design language and cars were recognizable as a BMW (bar the M1 and Z1), model to model you could see a massive amount of similarities. I just think Audi and Mercedes have the upper-hand with model to model design language, both have kept their brand image in tact and each generation is a nice evolution of the last, they also seem to release each new model in a timely fashion. This new F30 BMW has a great front end on it, to me it harks back to the 80's shark nose cars that I love, the grill treatment and headlights look awesome, if they can go forward and bring each new model out with that front end they could be onto something. I would like to see the 1 and 6 series with the new F30 front on them, both are not bad looking cars from the front wheels back.

The body is 100% different than he 3 Series so it will stand alone, much like Audi have the 5 and Merc have the CLK. Its part of BMW's plan, cant remember the name they gave it, something to do with city or town or something, its a future business plan. The business want to sell a lot more cars and there will be a stupid amount of models available before 2020. Mini, 3-door, Clubman, Vert, Coupe Mini Countryman crossover Mini 5-Door in the next couple of years, this will be a Golf sized Mini. ? 1 Series 2 Series Coupe, Vert 3 Series, Touring and Lift back veraitions 4 Series Coupe, Vert 5 Series Touring and Lift back veraitions 6 Series Coupe, vert and Lift-back plus no doubt a shooting break 7 Series Z4 X1 X3 X5 X6 They are also going to release more hybrid tech over the next five years. In the world market they have to build so many models and sub models just to compete with Audi and Mercedes if they want to keep up, not sure its a good thing for the purists but they will sell lots of cars.

Sorry mate, they have lost it for me, its just my opinion, I love the look of a new Jag and admire Audi's brand recognition, to me BMW lost it years ago, there is no longer a good design language thought the range, they are all over the place and certain elements are just plain weird, its not cohesive, you can almost take bits from models and build a decent looking BMW but not one stands out that great on its own other than the three series. They are no longer stand out cars. Its just my opinion and I an no designer and to be honest I am constantly told the cars I choose to spend money on are ugly so I am hardly driving and Aston and pooh poohing BMW, I just feel they have got a bit messy with things.

You must be thinking of the GT86, totally different cars.

This is going to be a good looking car, look forward to seeing it in January. Shoot me for saying but the current 3 series is the only good looking new BMW IMHO, a coupe can only be hansom, I hope it is as sexy as the E46 Coupe was when launched.

Watched this last, was impressed, this guy’s left nut is cooler than you. http://www.reelhouse.org/mos/urbanoutlaw/ http://www.magnuswalker911.com/

Add blocker pro on chrome on my PC and it works well. Shame I do most of my Youtube browsing on our Macbook and Chrome does not work well on it, wish there was an add on for Safari!

Very nice car. Germany's pony car IMHO, in a good way. So much character and class. Enjoy!

That the one. They do nice machine work, have had a few wheel's fixed by them. They don't do the painting or take the tyres off though so can turn into a week long process, not that convenient if its a daily. Wheelfixit do a good job, I had a few issues with paint chipping up really fast though so ensure they use a 2pac paint and clear coat.

Thread got me thinking about the old RS6, there is one for sale in Auckland at near 40k with 120 on it, not a bargain but a fast family car. Would not fancy the service costs or mechanical problems. Check this out though, not many family wagons can do 300kph let alone $40,000 familly wagons.
-
They are (were when new) epic quick, especially for a 1900kg wagon. They hit 100 in under 5 seconds, under 4.5 with a remap, and you can do with ease. They also have fancy restaurant dinner plate sized brakes with big calipers and very comfy leather Recaro's and from the outside are totally unassuming. Can not imagin they corner well though and I would still rather a "slow" M5.

AA Checks are useless. They will pick up a blown light bulb but completely miss the fact has been repaired from a very heavy crash or that the gearbox is on its way out.. If I am in doubt I take the car to BMW or a BMW specialist or at worst the VTNZ who offer a thorough inspection if you get the right guy, I also drop by my panel beater and have him give it a once over, its amazing what a subjective look from experts can turn up that I miss because I am romancing the idea of owning it and overlook things.

That will buff right out.

The C5 RS6 was a quick car, I remember revving up next to one at the lights to provoke it and short of a R35 GTR I have never seen a car disappear so fast into the distance with as such little fuss, he jut floored it and it was gone. That's my cool story. Cant wait for the new XF-RS

I would hate to see a list like that of my fines over 10+ years

They are both built entirely by Subaru. I was also a fan of the NZGT AE82, have had a few and they are great fun cars, this new 86 is very good, have had a good drive of one and thoroughly enjoyed myself, driving position and seats are perfect and the chassis balance is very nice.
