I've got the same problem, input bearing is knackered, you learn to just live with it
-
Can you just replace the whole half shaft, surely there must be loads of them around, dime a dozen

240 boxes are for 318i'sThe 323i will most likely have a 260 box = 1.25L
-
That's what I was told, if the chassis rail is too bent then it'll fail a WOF, mine have bent up so i've started to jack the bugger up from the control arm bushes instead which is slightly easier as sometimes depending on the surface the jack won't fit under the rails.
-
1.25L from memory... I'm using Redline MTL synthetic, same as what's in the diff, comes in US quartz so need 3 bottles to cover both the g/box and the diff.

Using the floor jack on the chassis rails to lift the front of my car has caused my rails to get slightly bent, i'd advise that this may not be a good idea...everything else is spot on IMO

Go to this site to get the info on increasing framerates I'm running 2.4Ghz HT with 1GB DDR on a nvidia 6800 gfx card, get FPS ranging from 15 - 60+ (use console and type in 'tdt' to get FPS count) The game is very GPU and CPU intensive, ram over 1GB doesn't make jack all difference...so anyone got a spare 3GHz chip for sale??? E: BTW, I refuse to play anything below 1280 res but for this game I have to play in 1024 res

Haha, i've emailed you but will phone and or call by tomorrow to discuss

Email sent regarding 323i engine
-
Hehe, I got an SKF bearing for less than that, just phoned them up and said I was quoted $137 - didn't say it was Ollie that quoted me though aye
-
As title suggests, i'm after a M20 323i head Also, someone give me Ray's number so I can give him a call to see if he's got one
-
SKF or Saeco bearings, see the parts places in the maintenance forum

Automatic? How are you taking that figure, is that the average trip consumption or you calculating from kms when fillng up? Round town driving is not very economical for a start, sounds like your open road is normal.

Medium to soft although with even wear, gotten 18k off mine so far with some serious track time and there's still life left (>3mm) although last track session left a massive flat spot E: As for as traction they're grippy and predictable, haven't had them step out unexpectedly like the last set of tyres, can't say loss is sudden.
-
Gasket sets do not include bolts, but you do get the intake and exhaust manifold gaskets. BTW: I have an exhaust gasket set for the M20 320/323 engines should anyone want ot buy a set cheap.
-
Just to add to your list of possible causes although probably not in your case, the half shaft cv's will knock if they're on the out.

Subjective...<$700 for the set of 4 blanced and fitted is the aim
-
Yip, the Direzza DZ101 in the 205/55/15 is the right size for you - Tane is on them aswell and I think Martyn is aswell. They don't go too bad on the track but i'll be buying some dunlop DZ02G when I get some 15" weaves...aye Gus (pm'd)

It's a tricky little game, played through with fighter and finished the main quest ending with level 28 character...started a new game with a pure mage character and without leveling up have almost finished it with him at just level 4 as the creatures increase in strength as your character does. Sucks not playing with the HDR turned on
-
I'm interested Gus, need some 15" for race rubber...don't need the centre caps either
-
You should have a chat to Ian (hartage) as he had a problem recently with car starting and while yours may not be the same problem as his he knows all the tricks. FYI His problem was an appartently common fault in that the engine floods from all the starting attempts and the fuel just piles up preventing the car starting.

Cheers, bmworkshop @ $40 each is the win

Quick question regarding the M20 engine Are all the M20 blocks the same, ie, you don't need to worry about getting the right engine mount part for M20's when planted in an E30 cause there's only one stock possibility??? E: I ask this because i've been quote slutting and the last bmw place I rang unexpectedly said there were variations...between E30's???
