    Age Poll

F**king dejavoo (sp) we've had this exact conversation 2 years ago, i'm positive There's no point having these polls anyway, we all know Andrew (depicted below) the poo tonguing rank old lady snatcher would win them all so there's no point
  2. HamilTron is the wicky wicky wild wild west of NZ with the saloon styled bar fights being a major draw card. Plus it's ideally situated with most places being within close driving distance and IMO it beats palmy and dunners as a student city.
  3. Good point about the lowering Glenn, didn't think about that one You know my suspension Glenn and i've not suffered from inside rear wheel spinning problems with my open diff...i'm assuming one has this problem because they're applying the power a little too early???
  4. To get rid of body roll you have to go lower, get good shocks, stick in the rear sway bar that you don't have and a larger front sway bar than what you currently have, then add the strut braces front and rear, get racing seats to lower the centre of gravity and add the roll cage for complete rigidity.
  5. Use proper English Strut bar is only good once you've got your decent shocks sorted out You'll have a front sway bar but not a rear one, you can stick a rear one in to keep the inside back end down when cornering, but the shocks are more important
  6. Dropping the car without stiffening the shocks will cause you to bottom out, ask Tim about what that does to your exhaust system, you need to upgrade your shocks. Time to go shopping.
  7. The tag is bolted on the back plate of the diff, towards the left, usually a little thin metal strip ~1-2 cm wide. It will have a few numbers and letter(s) on it and it may need a clean or scrub before the characters actually become visible. E: Andy, you would see it in the left of the left pic but I can't see it so can't arrow it.
  8. I've had a 4 45 1, 3 46 1, and a 3 25 1, all small case. Currently have a medium case 40 11 in there and have seen a 43 11 tag somewhere on another medium case.

Blanketman always makes my day when I'm in Welly.I take it he still hangs out in Cuba Mall. Yip, he now hangs out with sleeping-bag woman and carpet girl, which begs the question of what their offspring would be...

  12. Meh, so you peeps know what it's about
  13. A bit subjective but what is the life expectancy of shocks, assuming you're running a sport type suspension on a regular basis??? The Koni site says that their sport adjustables are meant to be stiffened up over time to counter the sag so are adjustables better in that sense? Thoughts?
  14. Ha, I love them, I was driving around Christchurch all weekend in a Land Cruiser and loving the all terrain aspect of driving over round-a-bouts, curbs, and other insignificant bumps all at speed.

    If you had...

Instead of the link computer you can go unichip or mapecu which are cheaper and have good % gains but as stated before the bang for your buck isn't as great as having the bigger engine first to get the gains.
  16. Not sure if it's nationwide but they've erected tonnes of speed signs around Wellington that show you what speed you're going. When it says 50 my speedo reads 55...so not sure which is wrong, probably the speedo. Still, I don't pass cops faster than 105 on the motorway just in case my speedo is accurate, but probably more beause everyone else seems to travel bang on 100 when a cop is travelling in the same direction. E: BTW, these signs are all in residential areas and don't give read outs above 54kph so they're no use for testing 100kph accuracy

    offsets

Go for ET24, i'm running 15x7 with a 21mm offset, my 205/55 tyres just fit so can't go bigger, 24 would be perfect.
