Agreed Damian, good show. I personally think that it's quite beneficial for us to have a dealer on here as a registered member posting a response to questions/allegations as it's in everyone's interests to keep things on the level. E: Credit to bravo for given them the heads up

Surely the fuel depends on where the car came from, the jappa imports will run happily on 91, no benefit with 98

Telstra doesn't operate up there, I wonder if they've even heard of cable? HAHAHA have you checked out the new plans that telecom are offering residential customers??? What a farce!!! Highest download speed will be 3.5Mbs...haven't telstra offered a 10Mbps download speed since the dawn of paradise cable?
-
Martyn, you forget that the Auckland yobbos don't get cable, nothing like having the cable phone+tv+internet package especially during extreme weather conditions Funny how our telco prices in Welly are better where cable is available...take note Andy

Keep us posted and let us know what happens as the best we can do is place a very informative message warning people to bouycott SD European giving reference to your dealings.

My low wheel offset meant my tyre rubbed against the flap when at full lock so when I got a replacement duct I riveted it as far forward up the brake intake port on the valance as possible then with what was left of my plastic flappy guard (hard to find a replacement for this) I cable tied to the duct so that it pulled it forward out of the wheel's way. I suggest you do the same if your panel is rooted.

Yip, PITA especially since the option to scale down images to fit is selected but doesn't work!!! Use the pan button as Tane and Glenn said or go back to an older version of Firefox and you'll be right. Even with this issue it's still a better browser than IE IMO

I've been through this so a tip for you when you get one is to rivet the plastic duct to the front valance so you don't lose another one.

Didn't the in between numbers get used by the X3, X5, Z3, Z4, Z8, new 1 & 6 series???

Road & track om Lower Hutt have what you're after. You really do have to make sure that your bolts go all the way into the hub and not just part way otherwise you'll meet an untimely end.

DivX really is fantastic especially impressive with the divx pro codec. Each episode comes in at <400MB allowing you to fit 12 episodes onto a 4.7 DVD...that's enough to fit in a season Animated movies compress extremely well, i've got one DVD with Shrek 1+2, Monsters Inc, Ice Age, Incredibles, Wallace and Gromit, and something else, all using high bit rates. Expect to get around 10+ hours of movie time on a DVD using divx at 1Mb/s.

I can go better than that. I just got the latest sony dvd/sacd player that plays divx movies so I have all of Lost season 2 on one dvd, all of Takeshi Kitano's movies on one DVD, etc etc etc. Works a treat for grouping movies together and removes the need for using dvd shrinking stuff, just rip to divx instead and voila, no need for piles of dvd's. E: Only down side is divx encodes audio in mp3 format so you lose the dolby digital signal. Having a good home theatre receiver can make up for that though

Find who dobbed you in, my neighbour dobbed my car in once. I blocked my flatmate in so he moved it and parked it facing the wrong way on the street and I got ticketed for incorrect parking...in a residential street!!! Paid the $40 and got my flatmate to buy me a dozen.

It's not the software that's the issue but I use nero as DVD shrink is no good at creating new dvd's with chapters taken from different movies ;-) Good point on the speed as I write the +R's at 2.4x and the -R's at 8x

The 3G razr is slightly larger than the original razr but is still a seriously slim and classy phone. Can get these cheap through parallel now.

I'm using DVD Decrypter, Nero 6, and Daemon Tools. It's not the PC DVD-ROM that has the problem, it's the DVD players (DSE, Panasonic, Sharp etc) that don't like playing movies burnt on DVD-R. Some work, some don't. I've traced it back to the DVD-R format discs that I was using in that the Mitsubishi discs are just plain crap. The imitation DVD-R discs work better so i'm assuming it's teh reflective quality of the dye but both the mitsi and imitation dvd+r discs work perfectly. That's just my own experiences but my flatmate swears by the +r format and I have to now grudgingly agree with him.

I've had only good relations with them, charged me less for some parts than other places and happily paid for courier pickup and delivery when they sent the wrong gasket set. See my BMW places sticky because prices vary from place to place. I was ringing around all the places trying to find the best prices for bearings, gaskets, belts, and filters. Let your fingers do the typing as they all do email service now. Cheeky bet is to email them all in one go using CC so that they know you're bargain hunting.

I was wondering why some people couldn't view some of the DVD's that i've burnt off. I could watch them but towards the end of the disc they'd do some funny stuff and on my flatmates player they just wouldn't play at all. Turns out it's the DVD recording format, the +R format is substantially better than the -R format. The -R format just doesn't handle dvd video and some dvd players just can't read a dvd burnt in the -R format. So Matt, that explains why some of those DVD's just don't work, if you check them they'll probably be DVD-R format. The ones that do work will be the +R format. Somewhere along the line I bought a 50 spindle of the -R format without thinking. Have had to reburn them all onto the +R discs.

Are the conforti chips really going to work with our NZ fuel? You'd be taking a big risk spending money on a chip designed for the US or European markets without discussing the fueling issues first.

If it were a 3.73 LSD i'd shell out a few hundy's

How do you find the 350D? I found the focus dial really small and fiddly, was tossing up between that and the 20D, still haven't decided.

Woohoo the big three five mid thirties HB

Would you quit with the Trademe links, if people want something they can look in Trademe themselves

You'd probably want to get the Getrag 240 box as it's lighter than the 260 and has slightly closer ratios - better matched to the lower torque 4 cylinder engines. The 260/265 boxes are for the M20 and the 240/245 are for the M10/M42. Not sure if they're interchangeable between the 4's and 6's
