  4. If I knew Anthony Parker any better i'd put you onto him as he has an E46 M3 that he's completely worked over already. He's gone through Racing Dynamics from what I can tell.
  5. You said your car is auto, is it possible with an automatic transmission to spin the rear wheels in order to rotate the crankshaft? My understanding is the torque convertor can only works above a certain rpm or does it lockout when the engine is turned off???

  9. Yes, but my point is can you take your phone over there and use a local sim card to use the local services - as it works out much much cheaper Grant, i'm talking about normal people pay for accounts that aren't being subsidised by their work!!! Yes, Telecom does have better coverage around NZ than Vodafone, although there are spots where both suppliers have dead zones meaning when at home sometimes you're better off with one or the other.

    Mtech2 wing

Haha, so you were hoping no one else would spot it so you could snaffle it up aye...
  11. Telecom doesn't roam as good as vodafone. I've taken my sim card and phone to europe and the US without trouble, and i was able to use the german D2 sim cards in my phone over there. Telecom phones can't be used like that.Vodafone do have some good deals, like have free weekend txts at the mo It's 6 one way half a dozen the other with phone companies Besides, i'd rather share the wealth around, Telecom are screwing you aucklanders enough with land lines and the likes. Down here and in Chch we can use Saturn and Paradise and save megabucks. $110 for phone, Sky, and 2mbps cable internet a month...what are you paying???

Are you or state taking into account a no-claims bonus? (assuming you've had insurance for over a year) My full insurance is something in the region of $1200 a year but i'm only paying $420 after all my discounts are added, 65% I think E: Oh yeah, try photoshopping your car with that colour first to gain a feel for what it might look like, then you'll know if it'll come off ghey or okay
  13. This post isn't just about the police, some chick wrote off her old man's brand new uninsured bmw... [stuff - abridged] Lower Hutt residents gave away more than $100,000 last week – but it was not to a good cause and not many were happy about it. A five-day police campaign caught 542 motorists – almost all of them locals – flouting traffic laws in the city. It was one of the highest numbers from any blitz in the city. ... Though more than 80 of those caught were speeding drivers, many were motorists who should not have been on the road, and others were in unwarranted and unregistered cars. Seventy-eight were picked up at intersections. ... Mr Isaac said though police had been lenient in enforcing new laws at roundabouts, running a "Stop" sign – no matter how new – was different. Given the numbers of motorists breaking the law, police would continue the blitzes. Younger drivers did not seem to be learning their lessons either. "We picked up lots of learner drivers breaching the terms of their licences, and most of them were repeat offenders." Learner drivers cannot drive solo; those on restricted licences cannot drive between 10pm and 5am. Some have come up with novel, if illegal, ways to pay their fines. Detective Sergeant Carolyn Crawford said a youth believed responsible for some radar detector thefts in the city had told police he was stealing them to pay his traffic fines. "He was getting up to $350 for them." The problem of drivers breaching their licence conditions almost had a tragic ending in Upper Hutt on Friday night. Police said a 16-year-old girl on a learner licence crashed her father's new uninsured BMW into a power pole at the intersection of McLeod St and Mary Crescent. Four passengers were in the car. Two were admitted to hospital with moderate injuries. The driver, who was likely to face charges, was unhurt but the car was wrecked. Speed and alcohol were believed to have been factors in the crash. [/stuff] Cracking down on drivers breaching their licenses is a good thing, IMO, and repeat offenders should be stripped of their license altogether. Hey Mike, didn't you get stung $150 for running a stop sign in Petone recently? I can think of so many places where most joe publics run stop signs...

  23. 2c Like every new launch the styles grow on you. It'll get my vote because it still looks far better than the new mercs which look more like jappas now than ever. The new engine is supposed to be tits along with the handling so will see what ppl think after testing them.
  24. You're missing the point, this car is understatement From what I read the s/c seems to be running at a very low psi - the possibilities are wild E: Not to mention that this car looks badass - and it has the wheels!
