  1. If you're too bloody scared to drive your shitbox at more than 70km/h don't drive it down the middle of the motorway. In fact, don't take it anywhere near the bloody motorway, for safety's sake, especially your safety. On second thoughts if you are that useless at driving dont go near a car at all. It's not just tourists that need to have their keys taken away!!
  2. Good to hear Nick. Why worry about pros and cons? Just get one of each!!
  3. E30 325i Rag-Top

    M TOY M3

    That wing though...
  4. I'm sure he'd give you a good "family" discount on it?? Looks pretty good, possibly the one I saw in Napier a couple of weeks back?
  5. Pretty sure that Mike Shaw Fibreglass in hamilton do flares for the 2002.
  6. Thanks Glenn, sense of humour failure at this end also. I think I'm working too hard..
  7. Some days are better than others. Today this transporter picked up all the M cars (one of each of the full M models) for the BMW M Festival at Hampton Downs, which starts on Monday. Hopefully a few Bimmersporters will get to sample them over the coming weeks.
  8. You should have at least one tow eye, if it's not under the boot, is it in either of the cubbys in the side of the boot?
  9. Tick, tock, tick, tock...
  10. Total of 161 335i coupe brought in through official channels. 5 of which were manual. 28 of the later ones were DCT
  11. Realoem is just a copied version of an old ETK (electronic parts catalogue) which is the official BMW parts system.
  12. The long winded way to take off the E46 bumper is to take off the black plastic mouldings (simply unclip) to reveal the fixings which you can the undo to remove the cover. Mine is an M-sport, so If you don't have the holes in the bumper can you see the bolt heads to get the socket on? Bolt is quite long so needs a lot of room to come out.
  13. One little screw in each wheel arch, then the two big Torx bolts in the bumper mounts which are accessed through the holes in the underside of the bumper. Whole lot then slides off.
  14. And the sun decided to shine! With The Stones on the stereo, and not much traffic on the roads. Is choice bro!!
  15. 412kW of twin turbo V8 goodness... With free fuel...
  16. Yeah it's been around a while, was rough as guts to start with but looks like it's been tidied up a lot. Having seen what some E30s are selling for now (and not just M3 / M325i / touring but also rough 318i autos) 10k for this is reasonable. Odd that the front apron is a Tech I not M3 when the rest of the kit is, but hey HO. Needs S14 + LHD if it's going to run the badges.
  17. That's the theoretical chemistry, but there's a bit more to it than that. Missed the bit where it said this had an Adblue system added (and even those have variable effects). Anyways will jump off my hobby horse now.
  18. If anyone is seriously looking to get one... Go for the ones with the two flagpole holders on the front!
  19. It's not the smoke you can see that's the only issue, NOx particulates are not visible even at very dangerous levels. EGR and DPF are both there to reduce NOx, not "smoke".
  20. Knowing how much the 6-cyl diesel engines are "Over-engineered" by ze Germans I would think that the extra torque and power wouldn't be an issue for the drivetrain (unless you drive it like a hoon all the time) and shouldn't have too much of an effect on the lifetime of the components. More interestingly, I see they have removed both the EGR and the DPF, so it now doesn't meet the emissions regulations, and as such is not techincally of a warrantable standard (unless it has been emissions tested by an approved agency, which i doubt). Very unlikely to be picked up by a Warrant Check though..
  21. Far from being resolved, just means that appeal has been thrown out of court. All that's happened is that more court costs have now been added to the Bill...
  22. From your original question I'm not sure which way you want to go. Are you looking for a set of dedicated track wheels / tyres, or a better set of rims & rubber for your daily? WIth the price of a decent set of used rims and decent semi-slicks, I would say go that route rather than compromising on the daily.
  23. ^^yup, for all things diffs, especially BMW ones, Kayne is your man.
