  1. If it isn't showing the 7MA option code, then it is NOT a factory competition pack. Aren't there supposed to be two big "M" mode buttons on the steering wheel with the competition pack? Not the power/Dsc/VDC buttons shown in the photos.
  2. I have got a lot of the OBC parts, 13 button unit, computer, control stork, couple of looms, etc. Was thinking of putting it in the 'vert but could be tempted to sell for the right price..
  3. I bet you listen to that on the way to work! Cool track, but Bank Robber is better in my opinion.
  4. Nice photos, would be great with prices for the parts listed... ..pretty please. Love, Admin Xx
  5. Another long week-end and more crap driving on the roads. It seems Easter is the holiday that every sh*t box Mobile Home / ute / 4x4 decides to tow a clapped out trailer / boat / horse box up some of the biggest hills in the country. If your piece of crap can't manage the speed limit on a flat, straight highway then it shouldn't be on the road full stop.
  6. Both those sites only show the options list for the VIN. That is the list of equipment added on top of the FACTORY standard spec. So they are not complete build lists for your car as they may well be missing some equipment. For example as my 'vert is a 325i it came with SA481 Sports Seats and SA22? ABS braking as factory standard, so neither of those show on these lists, but are on the full build sheet. I don't know of anywhere on line which gives the build sheet, but it is usually under the rear seat...
  7. A point to note: that is the official importers, ie BMW NZ, M-Benz, NZ, European Motor Distributors, etc. NOT the smaller independent "used" car importers. So check closely with those guys when they offer "new" vehicles for sale!
  8. Always good to see another E30 saved and resurrected!! Great work (as always) Ray & HellBM
  9. Losing pressure in the rear tyres not so bad, although can't comment on a scooter, they're just following the fronts most of the time. Fronts are a whole different ball game..
  10. Bugger.. Drove down to Napier yesterday. Will be coming back down in a couple of weeks if that works? Postage would be a killer and likely to get damaged due to size and shape.
  11. Hindsight is a wonderful thing... I have seen the classic car market go through about three boom and bust cycles in just my lifetime. E30 M3s should be driven, not stored up to appreciate. Garage queens are just about acceptable. Prices won't be going down any time soon though, need another GFC and some fire sales.
  12. Probably for the same reason that owners were warned not to use the Michelins if there was even the chance of rain in the UK, (which let's face it is 99% of the time), they are pretty much a race slick and dangerous with any moisture.
  13. I have got regulators, where are you based?
  14. E30 M3 front sway bar links up to the strut, not sure of the merits over the control arm connection.
  15. The first tyre was a Michelin back in the UK, hit something in the dark on the motorway at 80ish mph. First I knew about it was when I did a 360 spin, no idea how I missed the concrete dividing wall. When I got to the hard shoulder tyre was in bits, flapping about, found what I thought was the hole that started it all. Had a 19" Bridgestone S001 RFT get a big cut in it at nearly the same speed, and apart from a tiny wiggle and the light come on the dash nothing else to report. Not even sure the DSC warning lit up. If the goop is water soluble that would be ok, thought it was polyurethane or similar..
  16. Three cars on NZ soil currently, this is the only one on the road, launch date is 16th April. It was being driven by a BMW NZ employee, but not a big wig
  17. Was discussed at length last time it sold, not that long ago, from Wellington. Definately worth a whole lot more with the original parts out back on it and the CFA, wheels, RHD, taken off. If it has all the parts to do that, it could be worth the asking price. A good M3 SE is worth many, many times a normal M3s price. This owner does look to be trying to make a bit of a profit on it, yes prices are climbing still, but not that fast!
  18. Pretty sure M3 3.0 are solid and only the 3.2 Evo are floating. Definately different part numbers.
  19. I have the full workings for both sides of a coupe. Which bits do you need? Runners, regulators, motors, etc..?
  20. Nothing wrong with an M10 unit Graham, over-engineered as standard and capable of being tweaked a hell of a lot. Kayne Barrie got some very impressive power / torque out of an M10 with side-draft carbs in Howard Woods 2002 race car, which won the 2-ltr Championship and mixes it up with the muscle cars as well.
  21. Some of the earlier generations of RFT had a different style beading which was matched in the rim, however, I believe it was supposed to be compatible with non-rft tyres as well. Now that more and more cars are coming out of the factory with run-flats and the volumes of tyres in use have gone up, the pricing has come down a hell of a lot. IIRC it is almost at the point where the difference is zero on some brands and tyres. Ride quality is much, much better on the latest generations as well. I am a big fan of RFTs having had two high-ish speed rapid deflations of tyres, one run-flat and one not, with much different results. You can't put a price on safety like that. Also, isn't a non-run flat rooted once you have filled it with the can of spray gunk - so it has to be replaced, even if the tyre can be otherwise repaired?
  22. That actually did cause me to Lol, sorry. Stealer = main dealer, due to the (supposedly) higher prices they charge.
  23. WIthout the CSL wheels... WTF? Why would you put the non-CSL M3 wheels on it. I think the genuine CSL wheels are still available, but not cheap. CSET should buy it to put his wheels on it and make it all complete!!
  24. Well said Admin. Any grizzling, moaning and arguing about posts being deleted should be stopped as well. Follow the rules = no problems = simples.
  25. Will be in Napier over Easter... What do you want looked at / kicked..?
