  1. Have a good one! See you on Sunday?
  2. My stuff is all pre-facelift and not in the best condition in all honesty. But, what about this... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-257449006.htm Whole facelift 318 for $400? Bonnet and guards look good, although valance is a bit bent, plus all the other bits thrown in. Located in Hamilton, see the TradeMe thread for more details.
  3. Sorry to hear that Russ, I didn't see the extent of the damage at the end, just saw you parked up. Are you pre-facelift or facelift? Will have a look see what I have left in the garage.
  4. Ultimate Muscle Roller Legend - WTF???
  5. Hey, what's you number and where are you in Palmy, I would be keen to come and look at the car to see what bits are on it that I need / want / would like, cheers, JTP.
  6. Looking good Foxy, LOVE those long extractors nice and shiny, and should give a nice exhaust note with the right pipes and mufflers. How many gee-gees are you hoping for from it?
  7. From one international E30 driver to another - a BIG HB!! Ps. O/T Which one is Foxy in the picture^^^^??
  8. I think I can see why they picked the first drummer.....
  9. Fair play to the fella I say. 73 years old and he's still taking his toys to the track and going hard at it. Better that than driving them along the freeway at 40mph or keeping them in the garage. Sounds like he might need a few fast driving lessons, but I hope that I'm still game enough to hit the track at that age.
  10. The father of one of my mates from Uni had one in the UK, it was one of the first injected models, and was used as a press car when first imported into the country. He owned the car for a long time and looked after it very well, it was not driven much and had a very low mileage, a real sunny Sunday afternoons only car. Plus it was serviced very regularly at an authorised Ferrari garage, with genuine parts. As such there were few issues with the car, the usual wear and tear, plus the usual italian electric gremlins. However, it did get to the point where even he felt it was getting too expensive to maintain (servicing costs really) and he part exchanged it against a new 348 in the late 80s. Was a great Grand Tourer type car, wafting along quite serenly when going 100+ mph on country roads, not a real performance type car, more a luxury cruiser with a bit of get up and go. I remember my mate taking one corner rather too fast, and us just getting round it, with much tyre squeal, and using a bit of the grass, which was due to the floor mat getting stuck up behind the brake pedal stopping it from being pushed down!!
  11. Happy Birfday o' wise one!! From Jon & The Team at JTP Racing.
  12. Was it re-sprayed in the original colour? I don't recognise Gunmetal as a factory E30 colour. There should be a label on the suspension tower in the engine bay with the actual code, something like "LACHSSILBER" or "DOLPHINGRAU"?
  13. The power of the internet, time wasters don't even have to leave home to kick you tyres and be a pain in the arse to people trying to sell cars.A question on your 'vert if I may, is the colour code LACHSSILBER ?
  14. Yeah, seems like a good idea, and saves the $$$s without the risk of getting the fine. When I got my plate transferred to the car, it was just the 20c mentioned.I might start trawling the TradeMe plates for a cheap Euro as well, as it's such a good idea... Reminds of the old joke about, why pay lots of money for a personal plate, just change your name by deed-poll to "CEY362"
  15. Looking good mate, looking good! Now there will be two of us trying not to scratch the paintwork in the Intermarques!!
  16. If you find a set of the pin stripes please post a linky up here, I would be keen for a set. Is that guy not selling on TradeMe anymore? A bit of double standards from me, given my stance on "M" badges on non-M cars, I know. But my Alpina reps are now sporting Alpina centre badges and I am thinking of going further with the badging....?
  17. Now THAT ^^^ is a LOL!As for the guy in the vids, it's a great argument for internet censorship I'm afraid!
  18. A bit too arty farty for me, well shot and produced video images but too many clips of the silly bint doing who knows what to the leather seat and spinning rev counters, and not enough of the actual car IMHO. Clip has potential, less of the bint more of the actual car.
  19. Another yes vote from me, but only because I am an old fart, so I buy old stuff that's in the $6.99 bin at the Warehouse. Anything remotely modern and mainstream comes from the net.
  20. Unfortunately you are right, there are a lot of "psychos" out there, as many of the people living on the streets have mental issues. Closing down the old style institutions and opting for "care in the community" has simply not worked, either in the UK or here in NZ, and these people are simply not capable of helping themselves. Not only is this a crying shame, but also dangerous as un-medicated people with serious mental illnesses can be very volatile and as such a danger to the general public. These people often cannot adapt to what we know as normal living conditions and the number of available places in halfway houses or sheltered accomodation are very limited, leaving very few options to the streets. The behaviour of many mental illnesses is often very similar to that of someone on drugs, in the case of the guy in the film I cannot decide which case it is but would not rule out either. In both cases, what some may see as a joke can provoke a very hostile and aggressive response. Yes some people are there on the streets due to their own choice of action, but there are many others who appear to be similar on the outside who are there for very different reasons.
  21. I think there are two different types of pre-facelift valence, the early ones are two piece and have a different attachement to the lip, later ones are single piece like the one in the pic.If no-one else wants it Nick, I'll take it of your hands for a box of beers and pick up at Hampton if you don't want to drag it all the way to Manfield?
  22. Some real nice cars there, would be great to see them in the flesh sometime. The DTM style E30 M3 is sex on wheels , does it belong to a Bimmersport member?
  23. My thoughts exactly Ollie, that's why I posted this up. Ignorance of the law is no excuse apparently? How you are supposed to keep up with all the changes is beyond me, and how well will other road users be aware of some of this stuff? I can just imagine what would happen if I tried a hook turn on a bike on the 1st November round here, I might just be able to mutter "don't you know the law has changed" as they cart me off on a stretcher into the waiting ambulance...
