This is nowhere near as funny now. Bring back the retarded G4nGsTa speak 944 Lux Vs M325 in a straight line would be pretty even me thinks, 944 would probably have it though. 944 would leave a 325 for dead in the twisties though. both cars being stock. Different to drive, 944 feels like a race car to drive, E30 feels kinda more civilised, in terms of not blowing up, being cheap to fix, and starting every morning, E30 FTW!

944's are wicked, hell fun good fun. sh*t hot looking car too. Big gaurds, fat tyres, pop up lights, how can you go wrong? No big stupid wings or other BS, just 1980s style! One of the best handling cars ive ever driven, they like to tramline a bit, but the feedback through the wheel and the amount of grip is wicked. Engines are awesome, 2.5 litre four pot has gobs of torque down low, and still hauls up top. The S2's 944's are little bit finiky due to the twin cam head mechanics, and arguable less reliable, you'd wanna buy a well checked minter S/2 or itll cost. As with any porsche, if the interior clock still goes the car is likely in OK condition (im serious!) My one cracked a fuel rail, twice, caught on fire. Luckily had a fire extinguisher, other than that (and other random shed) it was relatively reliable. Engines arent cheap to deal with (ali blocks) the rest is fairly VW/audi parts bin stuff, so not too bad. Gear box is shweet, got a nice flicky feeling transaxle. The arse end of them squats hard when ya boot it, awesome Sas the sh*t outta a GSR too

No, I had an AE86 when I was 15, paid $500 bucks for it. They werent cool then, well I thought it was cool!. I wrote it off trying to be Colin mcrae two weeks after rebuilding the engine after school. 17 I had a R32 GTSt coupe. Had a 944 turbo when I was 20. Worked my ass off, Paid for it all myself, and regret it massively. Shouldve bought a house! The advice is there, take it or leave it. I actually think its kinda sad, lots of cool cars today will never make it too being a classic, simply becuase they are so cheap, some numpty 17 year old buys one, kills himself and writes the car off. In the mean time my Mrs has too hose you clowns off the rd, my ACC levy goes up and up, and the government kills it for the genuine petrol heads with Anti boy racer policies. So yes, dont be a muppet. BTW I make over twice your wage and cant afford jack, you must have some awesome budget skills.

When you make it so easy to take the piss its hard not too. Its not because its not a BMW, its becuase its a full o sh*t deal that everyone has heard of before, combine that with the "muppet factor" and you have one funny thread. Some advice, from an old boy racer, from back in the days when 17's were huge. 1- Its a not a Beemer, bema, beamer its Bimmer. Beamer is a BMW bike. 2- Its not a Giza, its small budget family sedan with a turbo bolted on, add some gauges and a skank whistle. 3- Type in english, its hard to take you seriously with BS 16 year old gangsta try-hard typing. 4- Sas is spelt Sass, and doesnt make much sense in this context anyway. 5- You cant afford to maintain a GSR or 328, or insure one, so dont buy either. 6- The Fast and furious was one wank movie. 7- If you want cheap and cool, go look at stuff like that cortina, you will learn about cars, wont kill yaself, and have something that is actually a cool car. 9- You cannot drive a fast car, you may think you can, but you cant. I used to think I could too, I then put an old lady in hospital (well my idiot mate at the time I was racing did) 10- Just cos your mates talk like gangsta rapping clowns, dont join em, at least act like you have some sorta IQ
-
Oath. Its good to see not everyone under 20 is a twit though.
-
Sas the sh*t by rimming id expect.
-
It'd be way too easy to comment on this, so I wont
-
Back when I was a muppet boy racer, we did absolutely no rimming Maybe that, and the whole gangsta rapper boi racer merger, is the problem with todays muppets.
-
"Rim it and Sack it" Maybe im not clued up with this new boi racer speak, but that is one terrible expression. If you plan on rimming and sacking, maybe an MX5 would be a better choice?
-
Nope, a mate is (I cant weld for shed) im just working it all out so he can build em Nice find! Got some reading to do.

Hmm.. All my tools are insured by my employer, even for breakage. I bust it, they replace it, someone pinches it, they replace it. I wonder if they just cover it and call it insurance, im sure they would have some sorta insurance on it though. I contracted for a bit, got it all worked out and valued at over 30k, but I assumed my contents insurance would cover most. Probably wrongly.

E30 parts are everywhere. New, 2nd hand etc, Ive had no problem sourcing anything ive wanted. BMW NZ prices are steep for some stuff, but its not hard to find good deals. What particularly are you looking for? Your looking at it the wrong way, an E30 is a classic now, and I cant think of another classic car with parts support in NZ, and worldwide, that can come close to an E30. E30 Vs. Civic . Apples and Oranges. Classic car Vs. Grandmas shopping trolley

+1 for the 328. GSR's are for clowns who think "they're a cool cat with their pants on the ground" Skank whistles and rice gauges do nothing but make everyone who sees you "boosting" think, that dude has a small weiner! Think about it, your 18, you wanna get laid. Which is gonna pull more?, a BMW or a thrashed Mitzy

e30 325i Motorsport debate (Also MTech 1 vs Mtech 2)
Jacko replied to Gus's topic in General Discussion
Comparing all the 323i "sports" online, there is only one common thing between them all. 2 door and M325 suspension, and rumours of a different cam -
e30 325i Motorsport debate (Also MTech 1 vs Mtech 2)

So whats a E30 323i Sport? Poor mans M325? (poor mans M3!) Its refered to in a few websites. Im assuming it isnt actually a BMW model, in the same way a M325 car isnt a model but a collection of options boxes ticked. Maybe its a dealer thing? Why are they all 2 doors? Surely a 4 door with all the right options ticked is an M325/Sport then, or are they actually factory/dealer agreed models ie "you can sell only "this" as a sport/Mtech car" My car was registered as a 323i Sport in the UK in 1985 (UK import) But is a straight 323 on the NZ rego. AFAIK it came with Tech 1 kit, M badges (they look 25 years old!), No air con, no p/s, M325 suspension (bigger sway bars etc), 15" basket weaves, Open 3.23 diff, poverty pack interior, 5 speed getrag 260. Does have random other options (heated window squirters etc) -

Good luck man, Know how ya feel. Ive given up 3 times, and beer has been my downfall every time. Beer+durry and coffee+durry are built in to my brain... Nicotine sucks ass. Ive tried everything too, have a whole bag full of patches and gum, and about $300US worth of e-cigs and cartridges, and im still an addicted wanker. None of it works. Gum tastes so fricken bad you need to have a durry just to get rid of the taste! Patches give me hellish headaches, E-cigs dont fix the problem either. You guys rekon that book is the go then? Ill go hunt it down, It better be one fockin good read! Stay strong man, If your anything like me I play silly little head games with myself and convince myself that just one more is a good idea....

Look sideways at an Rb26DETT and they make more than 206kW at the flyweel! Verrryy Nice build, looks like a minter to start with! Big R32 fan

Yehp, mines med case, was refering to the M325 axles and joints into my e30's rear end. Tried google the diameter aint found jack
-
Shweet, added to my list of bits. Bolt straight in to my 323? Any idea on the the diameter of M325 axles, just double check that mine doesnt have them already (It has M325 suspension) Thanks.

Forgot too mention the front brakes are independant, it'll do some serious ass bone breaking stoppies, but jamming one on while pedalling hard does some cool things

Does about 40kmh on the flat, if ya cranking hard, Aparently it cracked 70 going down hill on the way to cape reinga (wouldve been shed scary!) Feels faster than a normal bike to ride because of the seating position. Yeh, Im driving the camera in the vid, and am the pink tooth fairy at the end (ha!) Its looks like a funky camber on the front end, lots of design went into it, getting the ackerman angles working shweet, works really well though. Turns in near its own length, but understeers a bit when its slippery. We didnt know what the course was when designing it, Mk2 will be much more refined, we were expecting have to go down stairs and the like, turns out it was near dead flat concrete hangar floor.
