  1. Aparently, according to the interwebs and Glenn, 323 does have the light flywheel. Im getting mine machined down for the M50 swap, I hope it doesnt get so light that it becomes a biatch to drive
  2. Tardme'd http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=320115426
  3. Bet it boosts hard with the big bore, nice rimming too. WTF do people think when they do this? I mean it must have cost a bit too pay for the paint, those horrific wheels, the incredibly rice lights. 6k...
  4. Out of curiosity man, how much did the M52 conversion set you back? If you dont mind me asking I guess a benefit of an M52 is also the likelihood of it having less k's on it than an M50, and requiring less replacement bits, kinda offset the cheaper M50 initial price, but then ya gotta add all the EWS shizzle cost (and headaches)
  5. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-315206665.htm I hope no one here owns this.
  6. Dude. E36 316 is a very different car to an E46 328. $1800 is not a flat rate charge, or you'd see a whole bunch of ferrari flappy paddle gearboxes on tardme.
  7. Bumpage. Am flexible with pricing, would rather sell them than have them pinched outta my carport
  8. Hey, my car must have an M3 GTR diff too! Nuts driving, talk about using the whole track! he cleans up!
  9. Nice silver E36 328i(?) coupe down onehunga mall, M3 mirrors, on BBS wheels.
  10. Went through the checkout and VAT was never deducted, ive emailed them for confirmation that it should be, will post the reply. Ive only ordered stuff out of Czech and Austria before (toy plane stuff) and VAT was deducted, id expect Poland to be the same. FWIW - Full E30 sport kit, with diff mount and sway bar bushes, with EMS P&P = $462NZ So minus 22% and ya get $362NZ, comes in under the customs and duty fee threshold, so is pretty painless shipping.
  11. Anyone heard of strongflex bushes? Polyurethane, out of poland. Theyre awesome cheap, well for little machined chunks of plastic theyre expensive, but compared to other brands, dirt cheap. Under $300NZ for a full e30 sport (90 ShA ) kit. http://www.strong-flex.eu/ $300 includes 22% VAT, which isnt charged for export outside of EU, so would easily cover shipping...
  12. HAHAHa .... boosting out to do a photoshoot in kumeu, with some rimming/sacking on the way.
  13. I wonder if its actually a ACS pimped E36, or just a generic E36 pic they had. Everyone knows you cant trust E36 drivers anyway
  14. Yeh M50B25, tidying the M50 up, LSD, all the new bits (radiator, clutch etc), exhaust. Do all the work yourself and you'd have change from 6g, maybe
  15. Wikipedia knows all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classic_car
  16. 88 M325 as a future classic. I dont think there is a an actual age when it becomes a classic. Always thought over 25 is classic, and over 45 is vintage, but i may be wrong
  17. Traction issues. Sounds awesome and spits fire though
  18. ^ exactly, cars are for driving, not polishing! Its a mint E30 though, too mint? My e30 is 26 years old, been a "classic" for a year now. Its got chunks of rust falling out of it, so its gotta be a classic.
  19. Yeh good article, nice E30. 88 m325i, totally stock, looks new
  20. This is nowhere near as funny now. Bring back the retarded G4nGsTa speak 944 Lux Vs M325 in a straight line would be pretty even me thinks, 944 would probably have it though. 944 would leave a 325 for dead in the twisties though. both cars being stock. Different to drive, 944 feels like a race car to drive, E30 feels kinda more civilised, in terms of not blowing up, being cheap to fix, and starting every morning, E30 FTW!
  21. 944's are wicked, hell fun good fun. sh*t hot looking car too. Big gaurds, fat tyres, pop up lights, how can you go wrong? No big stupid wings or other BS, just 1980s style! One of the best handling cars ive ever driven, they like to tramline a bit, but the feedback through the wheel and the amount of grip is wicked. Engines are awesome, 2.5 litre four pot has gobs of torque down low, and still hauls up top. The S2's 944's are little bit finiky due to the twin cam head mechanics, and arguable less reliable, you'd wanna buy a well checked minter S/2 or itll cost. As with any porsche, if the interior clock still goes the car is likely in OK condition (im serious!) My one cracked a fuel rail, twice, caught on fire. Luckily had a fire extinguisher, other than that (and other random shed) it was relatively reliable. Engines arent cheap to deal with (ali blocks) the rest is fairly VW/audi parts bin stuff, so not too bad. Gear box is shweet, got a nice flicky feeling transaxle. The arse end of them squats hard when ya boot it, awesome Sas the sh*t outta a GSR too
  22. No, I had an AE86 when I was 15, paid $500 bucks for it. They werent cool then, well I thought it was cool!. I wrote it off trying to be Colin mcrae two weeks after rebuilding the engine after school. 17 I had a R32 GTSt coupe. Had a 944 turbo when I was 20. Worked my ass off, Paid for it all myself, and regret it massively. Shouldve bought a house! The advice is there, take it or leave it. I actually think its kinda sad, lots of cool cars today will never make it too being a classic, simply becuase they are so cheap, some numpty 17 year old buys one, kills himself and writes the car off. In the mean time my Mrs has too hose you clowns off the rd, my ACC levy goes up and up, and the government kills it for the genuine petrol heads with Anti boy racer policies. So yes, dont be a muppet. BTW I make over twice your wage and cant afford jack, you must have some awesome budget skills.
