Is the canbus integration good? Eonons look pretty well sorted (at least on their website!)

When I had mine refurbed the chinese ripoff ACS wheels the local wheel places stocked didnt have the same bore dimensions.

Thats pretty nice, ancient hardware and OS though, and its pretty much just a hardwired tablet? for about the same price as a Galaxy tab S3 ? Suck none of the "mainstream" manufacturers arent really jumping on Android.

Another one, fits an E87 with auto climate control... Could be either an awesome toy, or total pile of sh*t https://www.belsee.com/belsee-best-aftermarket-oem-bmw-e81-e82-e87-e88-2004-2011-autoradio-radio-navigation-android-dvd-player-stereo-gps-google-maps.html

Plot twist... its his grand daughter.

Anyone played with one? They have decent reviews. Nothing specifically for an E87 (what I would be after) but... Being able to integrate with canbus and control the works, as well as OBD2 and turn it into a swag of gauges using torque pro etc would be cool. http://xtrons.com/pe9890bpl-android-8-octa-core-4gb-ram-32gb-rom-multimedia-player-with-9-display-custom-fit-for-bmw-3-series.html

Agreed, its awful, the old site was way better. They have got sloppy as with shipping times as well.

Try schmeidmann, they have some acs stuff. I had mag and tyre guru guy make me some last year, not as good as the originals though.

Really nice tool, makes doing all the bushes in the hub (with their weird clearance angles) easy. Pro level quality, would suit a workshop. For replacing the trailing arm bushings and trailing arm in wheel carrier bushing suitable for BMW Models 1 and 3 (2004 - 2012) series: E81 / E82 / E83 / E85 / E86 / E87 E88 / F20 / E90 / E91 / E92 / E93 includes the following tools: split bush compressor to be used as OEM 334450 camber arm mounting extraction / insertion tool to be used as OEM 334460 trailing arm mounting extraction / insertion tool to be used as OEM 334480 Used once, retails from around $450 kiwi + duty etc etc etc $300

Forgot to order the rear lower control arm spherical bush when I did the rear end, easy job with the right tools - roughly 30m per side. Interestingly these are actually properly stuffed, lots of play, pretty much every other bush I replaced was still serviceable at 236k.

Hyperdrive.. I havent bought anything from these guys before (pretty much wrote them off as numpties HPing 20" chromies to idiots who cant afford them).. Corolla needs a new stereo, headunit is dead, speakers all shot. Ordered a cheap setup, Sony HU, 6" low spec Alpines and 4" JVCs. Hyper called me and said they had just sold out of the Alpines, but if I was happy they would sub them for something. I really DGAF, and expected some other low end speakers. Opened the box today, high end rockford fosgates! (waaay over double the price of the alpines). Winning!

Mandatory 2 yearly driving tests, in the real world, with examiners who arent clowns clipping bus tickets. How to drive in traffic, how to go around a corner, how to take your left foot off the brake pedal, how to merge, how to stay da fuk out of the RH lane, what an indicator is, how to remove your head from your ass when driving in the rain, etc. Pass 2 of them in a row, and ya go to 10 year driving tests. Fail, and your license is revoked and requires a driving course before resiting. Instant mandatory 5k fine and no license for more 5 years if you drive with no license. Solved. Next problem.

A shitty piece of road design can still meet the standards though, and if its initially cheaper, that's what the client wants most of the time. Auckland is littered with examples of it, along with the stories from the engineers about how what they wanted to do, and what the budget let them do, was very different.

In regards to civil engineers and bad road planning/execution. Its 90% about the budget the project has, doing it halfassed is cheaper... Unfortunately its often a very false economy.

Im all for letting Darwin get back to his regular job. We shouldnt have to have campaigns to tell people to wear their seatbelts.... Also agreed on the transport planning situation, what we have now is very scary (wife is a roading engineer) and will likely see a whole bunch of CE companies go bust and/or the skilled people leave the industry/country while plans for our nationwide gluten free monorail are drawn up.
