  7. yes all parts need to be checked and maybe replaced if worn etc. you can do new plugs , air filter , oil filter etc. but you need to go through and check all teh other parts timing needs to be checked with a timing light. the air flow meters wear out , so buy a new one or one from a much lower millage engine. vacuum leaks will kill ecnomy , check every hose and gaskey joint in and around the intake system
  8. i have new ones in stock if needed
  9. if your tyres are 225/40-18" then its about 5200rpm at 200km/h http://members.dodo.com.au/~wawawa/revs.htm
  10. worn out afm , vac leaks , timing not set correctly and faulty temp sensor for the ecu will effect fueling heaps. also driving style and gearing how many rpm at 100km/h on yours and the galant??
  11. just a quick update. have not done anything to this car yet . but i have picked up a 6spd manual gearbox for it from a e39 540i 6spd. so i just need to find a rhd manual e34 pedal box , get the driveshaft made to suit . gearlinkages etc. and ordering a light weight flywheel like this http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-1339-e39...t-flywheel.aspx also managed to buy a fairly cheap damaged 96 e38 740i with 110km etcthat i can take the 4.4L m62 engine out of. has anyone here had experience with the LOWTEC brand of springs and shocks looking at this kit here not too many options for the v8 wagon with self leveling etc dont want to go too low etc as well Product number: 0615434 http://www.schmiedmann.com/lowtec%20kit%20...age3.aspx#13095

  22. you can unbolt the brake line brackets from the trailing arms etc , and just hang the lines with calipers still attached .will just have to undo the hadbrake cable , easier from the hand brake lever if your 325i ones are still attached etc. just be carefull knocking the axles out not to damage the bearings/hubs or ends of teh axles etc. one method here most times i can just knock the axle out with a large hammer ,hitting it with another one resting against the axle end. sharp blows. but sometimes that doesn't work and requires more tools etc
