yes sounds like torque convertor. get the trans fluid level checked/changed with a new filter
-
ok so a 3.73 will give you 2600rpm at 100km/h or 3.64 2550rpm 100k's 3.91 2750rpm at 100k's
-
choose the revs you are happy with at say 100km/h anything other 2800rpm is getting pretty buzzy . if you want a race car then 3500rpm etc is ok my 328i with 5spd 1:1 top does about 2650rpm at 100km/h so which gearbox are you using??
-
yes do most of the coolant system , any plastics that look a bit grey or brown in colour are on there way out. yes and also get the vanos checked and also cam sensors etc
-
which gearbox do you have. if you are using a e30 type box getrag 240 or 260 then something like a 3.46 3.64 3.73 should be ok if you are using a e36 gearbox getrag 250 or zf tyoe etc with the 1:1 top ratio then you want lower numbers like 3.15 3.23 3.46 etc i would say your orginal e30 diff would be something like 4.1 or3.91 etc should have a tag on the back of the diff i take it its a small case diff , the replacing it with another one the same size will be easy if you want to change it to amedium case diff which can handle the power better then you will need the medium case axles to match go to here to work out how many revs at speed etc http://members.dodo.com.au/~wawawa/revs.htm select your gearbox and diff ratio etc

Fuse #46 blows on the e36 when brake pedal is pushed
BM WORLD replied to BMRBOI's topic in Electrical system
brake light switchesw are a comon fail on e36 e34 etc. but normally they just dont work when the fail not blow fuses. also check if it s got a high stop light wired in that the wires are not shorting to the car body . also the wiring going to the number plate lights often fail and short out where they bend just under the boot lid left side. -

M535i is a rare car in NZ, in black too. 218hp 310nm will wip lots of cars on the road including most e30's swap the tall geared 3.07lsd for a 3.64 3.73 etc. millar maf conversion with a remap and you have a quick car or just keep it as it is, as they will get about 8L per 100km on a trip and about 11L per 100km around town etc
-
nice !! where did you get that from (not my old car??)
-
unbolt the seat then remove the door card , then go from there . sometimes you have to drill out the latch etc if it cant be opened by any other means
-
have some for sale021433600
-
they also have these as a factory option in the e36's 5.25" with or without a seperate tweeter mounted to them. also set that have been modified
-
unplug one coil at a time while running to see if it makes it idle worse, if not that could be the faulty coil
-
should be easy something like this to replicate these

jack teh front of teh car up , grab one of the front wheels wiggle wheel side to side to see if there is any play . if its up and down movement normally a wheel bearing , side to side play normally means rack ends or tierod ends etc -
