  3. you will need a amp with speaker level inputs , or get a speaker level input to rca adaptor . then hook up to the rear speaker cables etc
  4. intake manifold leak at the head?? on one or more cylinders . double check all the intake pipes for splits etc . check the fuel pressure reg is working (no fuel in the vac pipe that goes to it) make sure the dizzy cap and rotor are not too worn out. test the tps is working in idle position and fully open position , compression test , shoule be 140ibs or more per cylinder. but is some are 140 and some 180 etc , then that will cause bad running . get the mixture tested co and o2 readings , but make sure all other things have been tested/fixed first
  5. sounds like mostly like the water has failed if it heats up that quick. or could be the theremostat. have had them fail before. water pump costs $80-150 depending where and which brand you buy , its is a pretty easy job to replace. takes about 1 hour but yu will need a few tools and know how including a 32mm spanner to get the fan off (backwards thread too) see here for some details on the cooling systems . 11. i agree , thats one of the reasons i sold the 99 540i touring i had . kicked like a mule in the rear
  12. 328i flows a bit better . 325i rear muffler sounds better than 328i type though . 328i has cats , cut them out .
  13. it wont work , unless you can get a digital tv receiver unit to adapt into it. but i wouldn't worry about it for a while i think they will keep the old analog system going for a few more years yet. nothing worth watching on those chanels anyway unless its top gear etc
  14. have this mxture of seats if anyone's interested . front sport seats , half leather half motorsport cloth will fit any e36 model coupe ,compact , sedan , touring , convertable etc $200 have rear seats in black leather from a e36 318is sedan , will only fit sedans. $200 rear seats in half seude half motorsport cloth from a e36 M3 coupe will only suit coupes $200 rear seats half leather half motorsport cloth from a 318Ti compact will only suit compacts $100 so you can mix up if you want . will do cheaper if you take a set of front and rears . 021433600
  15. as tiitle says looking for a medium case 6 bolt diff 3.15 or 3.07 ratio , like from a e34 530i v8 or e32 730i v8 etc. like in picture below thanks brent 021433600 or may consider a large case 8 bolt diff in the same ratio's
  16. dyno'd the 328i with super charger http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....mp;#entry413911
  17. went over to gavin at Hi-velocity today to do a dyno run just to check where its at and see if the fueling is ok etc not to bad a result for 4pounds boost. 153rwkw and 330Nm . before and after graphs shown running a little lean when its under 4000rpm etc then when boost comes on goes a little rich (but safe) works out about 270hp at the flywheel . would need to do a remap or muck around with a different fuel pressure regulators to get it better. and maybe gear up the super charger
  18. my mate has a 1990 525i sport m50 5spd , 10th year aniversary of bmw in japan edition with individual interior recaro seats etc mtec body kit , 17" alloys , face lift v8 bonnet and grills etc etc i think it has around 230k , buts its all fine, but i think he will want more than $3500 more like $4500
  19. make sure they are suitable for RHD cars other will fowl with steering colum . check with whaney , he may have some
  20. any vac leak will cause running and salling problems.but if the fuel pressure reg is not getting its vaccum it will not deliver the correct amount of fuel pressure at certain revs etc
  21. did you check the fuel pressure regulator ?? pull the vac line off and see if there is fuel coming out there.also how old and worn are the spark plugs , have you check or replace/cleaned the air filter . whats the condition of the dizzy cap and rotor how much wear in those??
  22. sold . but do have some black visors , grab handles , black lights , a and c pillar covers all in black from a sedan etc
  23. firstly yes a exhaust leak will do some of it . also check for any vaccum leaks around intake system (all the vac hoses and intake pipes) engine running lean will mean you have to put your foot it to it more just to keep it going. faulty fuel pressure reg , check if there is fuel in the vac hose that plugs into it. the main things that effect fuel when driving is the air flow meter (these wear out over time) the resistance track wears out and will increase fueling. also the engine temp sensor the one that tells the ecu how hot the engine is , if its not working or has a bad connection ,broken wires etc etc it will tell the ecu that the engine is cold and the ecu will deliver more fuel. test by running engine when warm and unplug the temp sensor (blue plug) and see if the engine starts to stumble etc also basic maintance like a clean air filter and new spark plugs , Ht leads ,dizzy cap and rotor etc all these things need to be in good order.
