you could buy a complete interior from a wrecked e46 , but why would you put old dirty looking tan in ?? most ones i have seen dont age well or as good as black leather. i find teh bmw's with tan interior dont sell as well as ones with black leather just my 2 cents

dont bother unless you need to , these engines will do plenty of miles as long as they are kept cool and oiled well . just go over the coolant system , replace all old plastic water pipe parts , water pump and thermostat. also service the trans while you are at it . trans will fail/wear out before the engine does. about $3k for a good used engine. a full rebuild could cost a lot more and not really need it unless the engine has been cooked or run out of oil , or had lack of oil changes which causes excess wear in the engine.

have just got this in , needs a head gasget or something , runs but is pressurizing the coolant system . might be just a head gasget or head etc. 126k on the clock . reg on hold lowered on jamex ?? have spare heads /engines and also a new head gasget etc for extra $$. blue with tidy cloth seats . can come with 16" motorsport alloys or just 15" steel wheels etc. looking at $2k as it is or more if you want parts etc . otherwise i will fix it up and sell it for more. will try and get some pics later 021433600 in papakura

i use a guy in takanini to repair those abs units .normally ok , costs about $150+

i agree with above, i'd expect leather , 5spd manual and coupe for that sort of price . just my 2cents

change the fluid for nice new stuff then see how it is

yes very tricky to take the headlight unit out , easier to remove front bumper for the first time . but yes you can push a long screwdriver donw the little gap in the top of the grill to release the front panel but its quite tricky to get it in the right place.

the very first M5 3.8L where offered with a 5spd . and later all came with 6spd

$3k to 4k for a replacement engine plus fitting . car has been overheated at some stage ,probably due to some small plastic part failing and losing coolant and know one looking at the gauge etc. maybe they have just put some radaitor stop leak stuff in it to stop it from losing coolant. i think if you can get it for $5-6k and are prepaired to throw plenty of cash at it. beacuse if they remove the head and find it needs more than just a headgasget then you could be in for quite a few more dollars. like most other guys said better to find one that doesn't need all this work unless your handy with tools and have a spare parts car etc.

or you could try the e34 v8 brake system with the hydrolic boosted brake system , very slim unit .

OK , just arrived today runs great . any takers ??? can split up the kit etc if needed. a few parts that may be of interest 328i engine . from a 96 nz new car zf 5spd gearbox . 2.93 medium diff (open type) good hood linning sedan non sunroof type black leather seats , door cards , with fold down rear arm rest with cupholders built in etc. black bonnet , gaurds , doors , 16" motosport wheels good tyres. side skirts , front and rear suspension ,brakes etc

was 4;3 but its gone sorry

would be easier if trademe had a miles / km option you could select or one that calculates and shows both , but then again that woukld just confuse some people
