no e28 m5 use 3.73 and 3.91 e28 535i use 3.07 and they are slightly different shape to the e34/e32 diffs will be from a e34 535i or e32 735i the large case e34/e32 6cyl diffs use a different input flange to the large V8 diffs axles are the same

normally from early e34 535i etc and maybe some e32 735i etc

no . normally 520i tourings dont have self leveling .only 525i 530i 540i models. but easy enough to check stick your head under the back of the car and look for lots of hydrolic lines going around and leaking etc your lucky you dont have it though ,more than $1500 per shock and about $800 per accumliator etc

yes easy to sort just drop the lower pan from teh sump off . comon problem , loose bolts oil pump bolts .
