  6. you can order a new key shape/code from bmw and a local locksmith can cut it to the shape/code given from germany takes a few days to get a reply from germany. costa about $20-50 if you have a later e34 with a ews type coded key then you will have to order a new key from germany takes about 2 weeks . costs about $150-200 or i do know a guy in nz who can make one up within a day costs about $200

  11. ITS ALIVE!!!!!! got up and running today , seems to be ok , a bit of a resonating rattle just above idle but disapears at higher rpm , sounds a bit like timming chain or something , so need to do a bit more investigating , but other than that seems to be ok , pulls quite nice , but havn't ringed it out yet as its a new engine . now just get a new wof and some reg etc . fit the road wheels and drive it around a bit
  12. yes that had crossed my mind , i will look into maybe updating the intake system at some stage .i have already had the stock ecu remapped with the std engine , but will be doing it again when i have it up and running. will see how it proforms . i use a k&n type filter with plenty of fresh air coming in around the head light etc like in the picture below. i might look picking up a e34 m5 intake system and maybe e34 m5 ecu & maf etc or some after market maf/map system etc. or maybe a nice 6 trumpet set open set up
  13. just a quick update , got the engine in the car , today , just waiting for some new exhaust nuts , should be able to fire it up soonish
  14. no e28 completly different ecu setup no , similer box to late 325i e30 but different programming etc yes thats about right . there is no cheap hp in these engines , i think a proper remap of the ecu or map-ecu2 add on system is probably the best proformance gain on the m30 engine. also a lighter single mass flywheel and new clutch is a good upgrade to the origanal dual mass flywheel. diff gear ratio change . 3.73 or 3.91 etc
  15. dropped in the newly built up M5 engine into my E28 . hopefully all going by the end of the week
  16. if its an old player then you are going to have to replace it with a new one or newer one. what brand /model is it and model of the head deck i might be able to help . cheers brent
