talked to the guy who owned this car and had done the advert . the car got stolen the other day just before he was about to go the tv studio for a interview with tv nz etc . anyway he told me insurance is paying out and he is off to get a newer faster one to replace it .

M745i same power as a 4.5L thats why they called it that . yes all came with highline full leather interior . M88/3 engine 3.5L 286hp same as e28 m5 and e24 m635csi etc. this one sold at turners classic car auctions a couple years ago just after i brought the other white one . sodl for a lot less than the start price too:)

yes will be a ZF 5HP30 or something like that. http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E39/Seda...c_transmission/

no use a m20 clutch with m20 flywheel . you can get them beefed up to suit the extra torque etc . had auto clutch in morning side do my one . work s fine with 328i coupe , found a 6.5KG flywheel from a very early eta engine (325e, 525e)
-
might have something in my 2.5acre yard , come and have a look
-
if you use a early m20 flywheel you dont need to machine any meat off the back , like a early e30 , e21 320i 323i 325i e28 520i 525e etc. also you can use a E21 throw out bearing so you get the correct clutch height etc.

what model and year car where you thinking of doing??
-
hhhmmm funny , when reasembling the M88 m5 engine back into the e28 i noticed also the throttle valves also not going fully open , same type of system with a locked bolt etc . so adjusted so it does now . and thats on a 25 year old engine

anyone here interested in this feel free to make offers etc . its a great car , had a lot of money spent on it over the years etc -
you can short the temp gauge pin/plug to the engine block and the temp gauge should go right right up , if not start pulling the cluster out and pull the face off , check the bolt conections from the temp gauge back to the main circuit board . also check for SI batterys for corrsion etc
-
bad conections inside the cluster behind the temp gauge , faulty temp sensor on the engine?
-
oh ok that one , that was already like that when i got it .
