any one know of a local crowd that could knock up a set . these are from fritx bitz in the UK . cost 750pounds plus 80for freight . also want to remap the ecu and change the afm for a hot wire or some sort . got any ideas .

my e28 past 300,000km a long time ago (about 9-10 years ago). up to 499,500km now .

whats the spacing across the top 2 bolt holes on the bell housing , 120mm is m30 type 140mm is for a m20 etc. is the box for sale. cheers

i have a nice blaupunkt tape radio with 10 cd stacker if you like , comes with book , remote , cables , face box etc .

impedence is not so important at the high freq, those speakers have a pretty neat crossover set up , they actually have a full coil /cap system wrapped around the woofer magnet . they are a 6"by4" woofer in the front . so go for a 6.5" set up with soem adaptor mount plate in the foot well.

same takes a little longer to start than my old cd changer when fisrt turning key on , but then its quicker than the cd to select tracks albums etc . no i dont have that many either . about 100 albums is about 65Gb of incompressed music the rest , well maybe back up for photo's stored on the pc etc .

its going into a ferrari replca 250gtb , built on a 240z datson chasis , guy has a turbo skyline engine in it at the moment , but says it does sound right for the car , so wants to fit this v12 with 12 injected downdraft throttle bodies . should sound pretty good , he is going to rebuild the engine. then adapt the nissan gearbox to it , should make pretty good HP . these engines have pretty lazy hp . 220kw 300hp 450Nm . only 8.5:1 compression ratio . should liven up with about 9.5:1 cr and some decent headers and intake system. look something like this

took about 3hours that was incl removing the front of the car to make it easier to lift out by myself with limited shed height .

i just rip v12's out of of 750i's took about 3hours on monday by myself . have new tool , load leveler attaches to the engine hoist.

just about run in now. just a few more weeks of driving , and she will be there . brought it in august 2004 . had done 465,000km genuine nz K's , never been wounded back or forward . guy i brought it off , had it for about 7 years , he clocked up about 220k's him self . up and down the country from welsford to tauranga etc . might take it for a bit of a spin when she clocks over 500,000km with video camera.

just done a similer thing to my e28 .(and yet to fit another to my e36) jvc head unit HDD have a jvc unit with a 160GB hdd , has a usb cable with socket hanging out the back so i just plug in the portable hdd in the glove box , loads of uncompressed music . i have always had 6,10or 12disc cd changers in all my cars with a tape radio up front , but this is way better. can have my whole cd collection (and some others) stored in each car , no need to muck around swapping cds (which i never got around to doing ). also has blue tooth , so can do hands free calling and music form my cell phone. if anyone wants one of these car stereo's call me . i sell them at my work , brougt a couple in at realy good prices , also have some other cheaper models , with usb socket in the front , ipod control cable and blue tooth stuff . 021433600
