is there any probs with clearances etc . not worried about proformance differenecs etc , just to get a guys 1990 525i going again . which cam should he use . 2.5head has a big crack in it

a 530i e28 , that would be pretty rare , me thinks it might be a e12 or a e34 type

hi , you could try a l-jetronic ecu from aM30 engine 2.5L or 2.8L from a e28 525i or 528i . 525i as rated at 150Hp the 528i was 175hp same as M20 325i engine . they run pretty much the same type engine senors etc . worth a try . or just convert to later motronic system but you will have to add sensors to fltwheel and bellhousing or to front of engine with new damper depending on which year motronic you choose to use . what year is the engine that has been used ? i have some ecu's too 021433600

no good to you you need a e28 M30 sump .e34 uses different shape and oil pump

the late e28 528i 535i e28's used the 260/6 as well .260/5 has metal hifter plate . 260/6 uses ali one

i have the same prob with AA insurance on my M535i e28 1986 with 496,000km on it . now it has a M5 engine . whats it worth . i had it at $6k 2years ago , but they only want to do about $2k . i think now about $15k

you mean getrag 265 with dog leg 1st and 1:1 top .you want a getrag 260/6 86 onwards (better) or 260/5 pre 86 from any m30 engine there also is getrag 280 used in M5 and M6 etc

i use auto parts express , 0800273626 all the wreckers use them . takes parts as they are even windscreens. they only do north island though

i have top gear on old VHS tapes going back to about 1994 some funny stuff

not that keen on that colour combo.could handle it if it had black leather . plus there was a nicer one in silver/grey with black leather 130k nz new fsh sold at $12k

hit them with a grinder with thin cutting blade and go buy some new ones . the stubs will come out easy once the pressure plate is off . done it before
