330i are far better than any 320i etc , but at that price you need to really check how good they are maybe a 323i 325i 328i would be a option all will use more gas of course , depending on how driving main thing to look for is that it has a ZF automatic , jap ones use GM autos which are not very nice

that clutch price is pretty high , I had a receipt in the glove box of the M6 I had (very similar clutch and flywheel) job done at ak city bmw was around $3.7k but you could get it done at most places for less and import the parts etc. these cars can be big money pits , just go in with your eyes open but replacement engine is a good thing otherwise .vanos pump , bearings etc would need doing

depends on condition etc $12-16k for one of those , probably the odd cheaper one comes up but will need much work
