Picked this pile of turds up for next to nothing, NZ New Facelift so has the angel eye headlamps. I wanted the CD changer out of it, so it came with a free car virtually.. I'm for it. Anyone that's driven from Dunedin to Christchurch of some of the central South Island roads would have to agree. Another equally annoying problem on our roads is for light trailers limited to 90kph. Personally I think it's more dangerous than operating at 100kph with a trailer.

BMW wouldn't make something dangerous like that, I personally wouldn't worry at all about it. Front airbags come out a lot further than side ones which is why you don't put kids in front seats I guess.

I wouldn't get too carried away with the specs on CarJam. Half the time they're incorrect, this one for example the cc rating is wrong and it's not 4WD. One of the better things about this car is that it has the proper 3 litre engine and not the older 2.9 Remapped gently would see around 200kw and 500nm plus. I'd love it, but just becoming too impractical now for us. I want that 4.6is but he's just not getting back to me. I'd say there's more too that engine knocking than it would appear.

20's on the 4.6is with flintstones tyres on the back. Good gravel road but an M3 would just get nailed. Also need the space of a big boot the X5 offers.
