Yeah I might go to about $2000 but that's pretty much it. I understand you get what you pay for but 6 slides is getting a bit out of hand for us. Cheers

This is completely off topic, but we've got this rather crap Panasonic 5 DVD 5.1 system which is probably worth about the same as a knob of goat sh*t to be fair. Basically, I'm wanting to replace the system I currently have. I'm just wondering if there's anyone out there who has a good knowledge on the subject. I don't need blueray, I play all my movie s from my PC (10meter DVI cable with sound e.t.c) Basically what I want is better sound, I want clear clean deep deep bass & crystal clear sound. I have an account with Noel Leeming & I get awesome discounts. See what you think from here: Noel Leeming Home Theater

There was one for sale in Oamaru/Timaru a little while ago for about 50grand, they're good looking & they suit that middle rear exhaust, only question I ask is where does the tow bar go haha? Only thing I don't like is the interior on them. It claims 15l but I bet you'd be looking at 20l & I duuno about you guys but I'd get pretty damned sick of that if it was your daily driver. Which works out to be about 35 bucks per 100km, I do say 500km a week so say about 175-200 a week in fuel & for arguments sake 800 notes a month ROFL. Still like it? I haven't purchased a car YET that lives up to it's claims, I'm always about 2-3l extra, although on my 3.0d I'm doing about 10.8 at the moment. Worst car I ever owned was a P38 Range Rover 4.6HSE I was averaging about 22-25litres per 100km & that was when it was working of course because it was at the shop most of the time as with all Land Rovers!

For the extra seat & better looks just get the X5 SD Twin Turbo? I can't see the X6 noticeably handling better? I rekon the re-sale of the X6 will drop right out the ass because of them being a 4 seater.

IMO, I really can't understand why they made them. They're not practical, they aren't the best looking from the rear & who really needs a SAV that is a coupe? Boot is high to get into e.t.c., I could go on all day lol I guess they cover "THAT" market well because there's nothing else really in it's class & only the Germans could pull it off making something tall that handles well. Otherwise I just don't see the need to own one in the real world.
  10. I was hoping I'd never hear that catchphrase again!
  11. There's quite a few funny remarks there, the last one was me LOL.
  12. Real clever bugger this one taking a 100k plus vehicle on a shingled beach... ROFL Video - Click here.

    My rights

My inlaws own a large testing station & workshop here in Dunedin & their policy is COD unless prior arrangement (they might let some pay it off if they are a regular customer) If this wasn't the case they'd be chasing up thousands literally & no business has the time to do this & in some cases the money to. At my workshop we are strictly COD unless it's a reputable business we're dealing with or I know the customer. If they don't like that then they can use someone else because I'm just not prepared to be chasing people months down the track which is what will eventually happen. These terms are stated on my jobsheet & clearly displayed in my shop. You don't drive away from the petrol station and then pay a few weeks later, so why with anything else?
  14. Is that a new shirt Jochen? Looks great, just need to fix that rip on the back canopy.
  15. Pictures? Probably not a bad price IMO - What the hell is the world coming to when someone feels the need to do that to any car? Those pricks need jump into a fire.
  16. I thought the auto was smooth and better to use, I bought mine because I always rather a manual where ever I go. Ahh well, I guess Bravo chose the best at the end of the day.

To suit a E53 BMW screen, It's a 2005 NZ New BMW X5 E53 3.0d Aparantley I need the tuner & 2x aerials to make it work? Should there be a loom aswell?
  19. Ha, fair enough mate. There's a few other things different too from DX to SDX. You'll get a great run out of it, uncle gives his assholes and it doesn't bother it.
  20. It's worth a little over half that now LOL!
  21. I'd prefer a REAR or 4WD for that kind of power/torque myself. Good on him for trading in the Failcon mate, to be fair I'm not a Ford person but Euro fords are an exception to me especially, owned a 2002 Mondeo and loved it, awesome build quality!
  22. Yeah I'm pretty sure thats what the style is off. Thats cheap mate, the motorsport E70 20" wheels are over $5000 just for the rims! Trading my wheels in so it will only cost me $2700. How are you liking the XR5? They have to be the best looking hot hatch, they have the Volvo 5 cylinder turbo motor?
  23. Ordered, they're going on on Thursday morning! Getting it chipped on Saturday morning in Chrischurch!
  24. I'll see gravel mate yeah but that's it. This isn't an offroad car IMO, I have a new LT-A 750cc Suzuki ATV for that - My neighors struggle more to keep up with the different cars every few months, but nah, it's done & dusted, we're keeping this X5.
  25. I've been quoted $3200 from TyreLand Dunedin with Toyo tyres & they will trade my old ones. I wonder what they are worth? They have 6 on the rear and 7mm on the back, GoodYear 285 55 18" I think? Thats them, but I think they are 10's and 11's ?
