True yeah. The car looks the mileage though, it looks to be pretty clean.

Thats epic. Because of that I've just bought MobileMe from iTunes, I'm on my third iPhone because of accidental damage, but I'd be pissed if someone stole it. Better not show the tacking module, the wife would know what pub I'm at.

I'm pretty sure the torque bands are fairly similar between the 6 and 8 (max torque) They are also very close in Torque too but for instant power I'd have the V8 for towing. I know stuff all about this but would the V8 use more or less fuel than a turbo 6 towing 2 ton?

Sweet FA & it's my wedding anniversary tomorrow & my wife just reminded me - Sweet FA!

Word. Alot of bang for the buck there though, but I've been there & done that, take that Range Rover I had!
-
Bang for buck the Maloo is amazing in my opinion, it's basically a GTS with the ass end removed. There's not alot else post 300kw factory for 60k 2nd hand ute, come to think of it what is there else? The XR8 would be my pick for towing for reliability & instant torque if your going Ford, also just for the sound! KG Wise they are very limited per litre. If it's sheer towing capacity you need I'd suggest LandCruiser, firstly because everytime you turn the key it will get there & secondly - resale value!

Yeah big plums to do that IMO, I'd end up in half at the other end I rekon.

I seriously don't trust myself to do it. I only know one tool and it's a hammer. The guy used an orbital and Mothers but he said he also used a rubbing compound. When I first got it back before Christmas it looked tops, bar the fact the dust was sticking to it far far far more than it was before. Because it's black I wash it 3 times a week & after a week you could notice the swirls. He redone it two weeks ago and once again it looked great, then a week later it returned to the fail that it is atm. I'm using Dura-Seal car wash, it's $48 per 1 litre bottle & I've always used it. When I had my Range Rover I took it to him aswell. The car came back brilliant to when it first went in, it never wore off and it always gleamed & he claims he's used the same technique as this time round.

Next round is going to be a word of mouth thing for me. As I said, I've lost confidence in taking it anywhere & with respect it is a 60 thousand dollar car.

X5 is made in the US too, as with ML Mercedes.

Visit My Website Have to be one of the lowest mileage ones in NZ?

Dear o farkin dear. No offence to anyone on this board but that Sir should have been fitted with male genitalia @ birth. A serious LOL to post # 2

Yeah I might try the paintshop thing. This time I'll be hanging around while they do it too because my car is the kind of car people will love to remove 3mm of rear tread for me, thrown in ontop of the job. Friend of mine went to an unnamed place here in Dunedin and another mate of mine seen them removing tread from the tyres for him free of charge. It doesn't inspire confidence! Here's a pic so you can get an idea of the issue. It's over the entire car and most apparent when it's in direct or high lighting. I think you can actually see where the buffing machine has been. Also, the cleaner the car the worse it is. Honestly, this photo doesn't at all do the justice that I'm complaining about. It looks terribad.

250kw & 400nm out of a near 20 old engine is just amazing, & being a 6 cyclinder is even more WOW!

Imagine getting that bady boy in a kitset delivered to your front door, fark, a 1 year old would be retired & still have half the job to go LOL!

Can anyone help or know of anyone who to trust to goto? I've taken my GTS to a place here in Dunedin & it's come back stuffed to say the least. It was just an external one for $170 & aparantley they cut & polished it however it's come back very very swirly & it wasn't before going there. Just keen to know if anyone has used someone & has been pleased with the result. I would do it myself but I just don't trust myself with power tools or liquid solutions! Cheers.

Maloo or SS-V or S Ute? Falcon's are alot more common & I suppose the prices sorta reflect that. Bang for buck tho the Ford product does offer good value. I've driven a slightly worked XR6-T BA II and it wen't very well, but just watch the brakes on them as trying to stop something even with 240kw IMO the brakes just don't cut it on them.

I'm sure those pics were from when it was for sale first time round, could look like it's been used as a bull dozer at the Green Island Landfill here in sunny Dunedin, or used on a skid site to pull up those logs for delivery on the logging trucks, even a PTO fitted to it & could have 800,000km, could also be used as a home for 5 people with no plumbing & toilet facilities... The possibilities are endless, the chap probably should have taken clean fresh pics of her. I like it as it was though, I'd love to swap the Mazda 6 for it...

I'm pretty sure that this beast is back up for sale.... M325i
-
Exactly what I thought, more reliable and a better resale IMO.
-
That's pretty cheap for a V8 BMW mate. If you were in Dunedin I'd be keen to have a look at it!

I'm pretty sure I touched nothing but this time when I'm viewing forums, the format has changed to below, before i could see everyone's responses, replies below it, now it's a kind of sub format....

Yeah but they are just about as powerful than the old 3.6? with less fuel consumption? I've got no complaints about the fuel usage from my GTS, I'm averaging about 14-15 which for 307kw is pretty good.

The Mondeo is a better car than the Falcon IMO, especially in the Diesel variants.
