Great choice Bravo, I seriously doubt you'll be dissapointed. What options did you go for? I had the Sportslid & liner, 3000kg towpack, nudge bar, sidesteps & paid aprox 39k + GST inc ORC They run in at about 3000km IMO, but you can drive it normally right from the word go. If you complain about the power, the common rail chip extention thingo is a goer, gives you 25% more torque and hp, I took mine off my BT-50 when I sold it but it made a huge difference.

+2 This is Riley's ride is it?
-
Thanks mate, are there any wreckers on here that could have the parts required? Is it a mongrel of a job to fit or a piece of piss?
-
They aren't really designed to go offroad, get a Hilux/BT-50/Navara if you are planning to do that kind of work. That said, the water wasn't high at all, so I'd put my money in saying that the driver punched it through that water and created too much of a bow wave & in turn the water was taken in the air intake. I've had 2x LJ-50 Suzuki's, Hiluxes and up until about 5 years ago we were out every weekend with a small syndicate, you learnt quickly when dealing with water what to do and what not to do. Panicing is the worst thing out & seeing how fast your car can go through a river is a no no. That thing has so much grunt I could just imagine the drive panicing and flooring it.

Would I get the tuner and antennas from a wrecker?
-
Is it still for sale? I just looked at that YouTube video and had a decent ROFL when I seen the quotes: diareeaful (1 month ago) Show Hide looks like the tachometer is broken. bahnstormero (3 weeks ago) Show Hide +4 captain obvious strikes again CAPTAIN OBVIOUS STRIKES AGAIN! Absolutely brilliant!

Could be right there, it's gone, I got an email saying it's been sold to another TM Member. Guy there had a point though, why would it void the warranty? It wasn't de-reg. Also, if a car is "water damaged" doesn't virtually EVERYTHING have to be replaced? EDIT: It had a personalised plate, so probably privately owned?
-
I was going to but it's quite a bit off the beaten track. The only REAL thing going for it is the hotpools? Oh and that 4WD amphibious ride.

When I was 18 everyone chipped in and purchased my plate LADS 1 it was fitted to my Honda Civic SiR 1990 which was a bloody quick & rare little car for it's day! Reason behind it was because when I first left school @ 16 I worked in a butchery & I was called THAT FKN LAD! Where is he? LAD DO THIS DO THAT! That and at the time there was a commercial with a HQ Holden with the plate LADS, which was fill of guys pissing up in the back of this old Kingswood on TV. It hasn't been on a car of mine for about 5 years.

I'm looking at these boys here: Euroline - TA079 With TOYO tyres, I've been quoted at $3600inc which I thought was pretty good. Tyres are 315/15 20". I'm pretty sure they are the optional wheels for the E70 but obviously replicas as that money.
-
Haha, keeping mine as it's costing me a fortune now to change cars too often when buying from a dealer! I'm going to put the Motorsport E70 wheels on mine and get it re-chipped (which will make it as powerfull as the twin turbo ones) then in about 12 months I will be getting a E70. After driving it all day today and with the variation of driving I've done (towed today, went to airport with family in it with luggage, blew away a D4D Hilux up Saddle Hill) I think I've found myself the perfect car for my needs.

X5 3.0sd Wonder how that chap managed that job, bet he felt $1 million bucks after that! To re-iterate:
-
That's easily fixed, a few wee things have to be ticked & directories pointed to. Depending on what O/S is running the server a few things may have to be done there too.
-
Very nice, worth a packet too I bet. How many k's ? Interior shots?
-
Thats awesome, so responsive. I've got 5 RC helo's here but only one working one, they have a fear of heights when I'm behind the controls.
-
If it were me: SOUTH ISLAND TRIP I think the TeAnau one should be an option as it is kinda out of the loop, but it's a nice place all the same, through there you have Milford Sound too, which is pretty awesome.
-
All done, fark, what a difference! Maps are much more modern, cleaner! Thanks again Jochen! I think it's even made the menu's and stuff easier to use? Pitty it couldn't install the TV Function to it haha! What would I need to do to get TV working on it? Cheers.. EDIT: What's the other files there for? Anything I'd need or be interested in?
-
Thanks mate, I'm going to get onto this this morning. Uncles M5 had awesome maps and graphics compared to mine, mines terrible in comparison!
-
O/S is SW 4-1/50 Hope this helps?
-
Naice. Like the colour coded red interior.
-
Done I have called the dealer, there is an updated disk but he said I wouldn't want to know the price, so I left it at that for now.
-
Hey Cliff. I'm 50% sure that it means (E)conomy (M)anual (S)now
-
This is probably a Jochen question I'm wondering if it's at all possible to put an upgraded BMW Navi disk into my NZ New 2005 3.0d We were out last week and looking in some new sub-divisions and alot of the street's weren't there. Would an upgrade disk also improve graphics? The current disk I have is part number: N8881400670 Version 2005-1 BMW NAVIGATION SYSTEM Cheers

Does his arms reach long enough to do them down here in Dunedin Glenn or he has an agent?
-
I had mine done last week and I'm pretty sure it's 25,000km the chap said. Will check my manual later.
