How about the drivers seat? New upholstery needed?
-
Funnily enough, I had to do exactly that after my sister-in-law did the same thing in a driving lesson a few years back... Only she was further over & damn lucky she was still on the good side of the pivot point! Couple of scrapes underneath, but no damage. I was worried about brake & fuel lines but nope, no problems even 5 years on.

An epic Kingpin, Big Lebowski & Old School marathon. Nothings f**ked here Dude.

Whats stamped / cast into the back of the wheels? Are they genuine OEM, not replicas?
-
Is your TP monitoring an aftermarket setup? My E90 uses the wheel rotation variation via the ABS sensors for TP monitoring - thought that was the std now... What's the offset? Could be interested....

Hecho en Mexico. Just like Bender.

Oh dear god - why??? I reckon I'd have to gouge my tongue off after eating that.

It should all be banned as a crime against good taste if you ask me.... But seriously, if you bring some back, declare it & they tell you to bin it - whats the financial risk? $10? Be much more if you dont declare & get caught, but I cant see anyone at the border giving a flying f**k if it's still sealed.

Leave it as is - you wont get the $1600 back in sale value from my experience.

Someone gave the apprentice a hacksaw & a challenge on Friday afternoon?

Anyone able to point to where I can find a list of the content on Netflix NZ?

Arent those E36 wheels?

That is f**king ridiculous. Love it!

No idea - never heard of problems on ambulances while I was there.

Sure, but as I said it isnt that simple for systems that look for the correct rise time in current draw for a filament (no idea if the E90 is like that but they are out there - I think Volvo was one). This is quite different to a dumb resistor - we spent a lot of time trying to fool these systems when I was at Hella & ended up with plugin electronics or a bunch of electronics inside the lamp. In extreme examples, the dumb resistor wouldn't fool the system which would then assume no trailer was attached to the truck, and not release the trailer brakes....
-
Be warned that doesn't always work - the more sophisticated systems look for the correct current draw (over time) of a filament which is difficult to simulate with a resistor. You may also see the LEDs pulsing (even with the lights off) depending on the electronics & the LEDs.

Walk away from the CVT auto in the R50 - it truly destroys the car to drive & your wallet when the orange light comes on. I heard somewhere (not sure) that the newer models used the same Aisin 6 spd auto as the non-DSG mk5 Golfs (09G gearbox) which are 100x better than the CVT but still not stellar reliability wise. Like someone else said - buy a manual.

13 minutes from standing up in the plane to sitting down in a taxi including clearing customs, immigration & waiting for bag. Surely some kind of record?

Ironically enough, I was on a 100% hydrogen powered bus last weekend (in London). That seems like the perfect application for the fuel cell - quiet, emission free, and has a set route for predictable fill up points. I do wonder how big the tank was & how far they can go on it but it does indeed appear that they are finally at the point of not just being a pipe dream.

If it was me, i would be looking at a mk3 golf. Airbags, ABS, fairly solid & economical.

Has grim reaper written all over it

I believe the 3 litre is restricted to the smallest version (1500) and its only recently been added as an option. The Cummins is for the 2500 & 3500 variants & is for something thats the equivalent to a Canter - so no, not something you would expect to be throwing around. And yes, they are using particulate filters & SCR to meet the emissions requirements.

You know they are available in the US with a Cummins diesel, right? Doesnt say if thats what will be imported or the Hemi V8.
